I purchased this piece last week, and it arrived a few days later. So far, I have been very pleased with the desk.

PROS: It's quite a good deal at its price. It's fairly sturdy, and the wood is nice. The shipping was fast, too.

CONS: Assembly was annoying. I believe it would be much easier if you had a 2nd person to stabilize the larger pieces when you are attaching some of the pieces. I also wish the drawer was a bit bigger.

Overall, I'd recommend the desk, particularly for people in my situation (student away at school; limited space and budget).

I LOVE this desk. I've had mine for about 3 years... and now that my husband needs to add an "at home" office space for himself, we're going to make it a PAIR! The depth of the desk makes it SUPER for small places. Even so there's plenty of room for me to spread out. It probably isn't the desk for large desk top computers, but for my needs (laptop) it is super!
ONLY problem is that IF you use a laptop on it, you probably want to get an acrylic desk protector... cause the heat of the computer will dry out the desk and possibly crack the wood. STILL I love my desk!

I purchased the Mission desk for my computer about 5 years ago. It still looks fantastic, even after being moved four times!!! It is sturdy and spacious. I was so pleased with it that I ordered another one this year for another room. Great buy!

I bought this desk and the matching huch at least 4 years ago I have used it and abused it. My daughter at age 2 climbed on the keyboard drawer and it still works great! (she is six now) I can see why they still carry these pieces. I think I may be able to pass this on to he when she gets her own computer.

i just recently purchased this desk. it makes an excellent addition to my room. the only problem was that there was some damage to the wood upon arrival, but you cant see it because that part is in the corner. the desk was pretty easy to put together, but i had a team of friends so it didnt take long. i definatly reccommend this desk. i plan on purchasing other items from this collection.

We registered for a lot of our furniture at target when we were engaged, and we got this desk, and the mission style coffee table from the mission collection. I love this desk, and as college students, this desk gets a lot of use. A year and 2 apartments later this desk is still sturdy and beautiful. The finish has stood up to wear and tear, and the pull out tray is the perfect size to put both a keyboard and mouse. Some people have written in that it isn't sturdy, and to that I say that they obviously didn't spend much time or care when they put it together initially. A tip when you put ANYTHING together that has different parts to be tightened simultaneously -- get all the screws in but not tight, then when all are in, tighten. This will ensure stability. A great buy. I am moving once again in a week, and we will be buying the side table to go along with it.

Just received this desk after only ordering a few days prior. Very easy to put together and the look of it is nothing less than you see posted online. The pull out tray is very spacious and the drawer fully functional. Lots of room underneath to store stools if need be, the computers hard drive, etc. Counter top is large enough and still roomy with flat screen monitor, 2 speakers, printer and keyboard/mouse too if you didn't want to use the slide out tray! After looking around, this is well worth the money!

I purchased this desk for my computer, along with the matching file cart...in January! Here it is April, and I am just now getting the job done. I told myself that I would never buy another piece of furniture that I had to put together myself but for the price and the looks, I took a chance with this one. I have to say, putting the desk together was MUCH easier than putting the file cart together! I was amazed at how quick and easy it was to assemble. As with the file cart, the instructions are lacking. I had to look several times, then look again and try to figure out which piece was which, etc. Something needs to be done to upgrade the instructions. It took me only about an hour to put this piece of furniture together and the end product is worth it. I had my pieces delivered and did notice some damage to desktop but nothing too terrible or nothing that can't be covered up. This piece is VERY sturdy and I have no fear when using it. The drawer and keyboard tray were so easy to slide in and I have no difficulty using either. Love the long keyboard tray - for my mouse also! In the end - the desk was a breeze and would highly recommend, the file cart...well, that's a different story!

We purchased the desk, hutch and 2 of the bookshelves. They were so very easy to put together that I didn't need my husband's help. I have moved the desk to several different rooms in our home and found it was always the perfect size and shape. The desk is very light which makes moving it around easy.

I purchased this desk at the store along with the filing cabinet. My husband put it together fairly quickly. He did reinforce some areas with wood glue. It seems sturdy enough.I like the size and style the best. The pull out keyboard shelf seems weak but so far as remained in tact. Overall, for the money, I think this was a good buy and will probably have this piece of furniture for quite awhile.
