I bought this desk 7 Years ago and use it everyday in my home office. This desk was properly put together by me. I have moved it between 3 locations that is 3 times in 7 years and have not had a problem. I even modified it and put the keyboard slide-out on the left side to accommodate for a corner I originally had placed it in when I first bought it.
I also have the shelf assembly which allows me to store my books and office supplies right above the desk without being in my way. This is the perfect desk for the money. I simply Bought It, Carried It home from the store Myself, Carefully Read the Instructions, Put It Together, and "Presto" It just works. People who put down this simple to assemble item really need to Focus on the Assembly and not on the fact that there Professional Degree deems them Worthy to do anything without patients.

I've had this desk for several years (along with the matching hutch) and it's held up just wonderfully! I had no trouble putting it together myself, and it's served me well even after a move and getting lugged all over our house.

Every now and then I'll have some issues getting the keyboard drawer to slide back in all the way when it's been fully extended, and I do sometimes wish that side drawer was a little bigger. Those are minor quibbles, though. If you love clean lines and natural finishes, this desk is for you!

We bought this desk a few years ago for my brothers room and since then it has survived a couple different (and heavy) computers plus a move to a different state. We are pleased with it, but it is smaller than a usual desk. The small drawer is very useful and the pull-out-keyboard drawer doesn't catch or anything. The desk is a little wobbly if you push the side of it kinda hard, but it's definitely sturdy enough to stand up to everyday use.

The results are great, a sturdy little desk. However, there are a number of inaccuracies in the assembly instructions (or mislabeled parts... no way to tell which) that resulted in having to disassembly it and reassemble correctly when done. Treat each step with suspicion...

The desk arrived in a timely manner but was a little difficult to assemble at first. One I figured it out however, it went quickly. The assembly does take about a full hour and a half if you're doing it by yourself, and it takes a few tries to get the drawr on the right way. But again, as soon as you figure it out it goes quickly. The desk looks great overall and is very sturdy! It's a little smaller than one might imagine from the picture, but fits great in an apartment.

I recently purchased the mission computer desk - looks great in the house - serves it's purpose - but was hoping to get a chair to match. The box the desk comes in has one pictured on the front with the desk. I picked up the little booklet that says "find other mission items at target.com" hoping to find the chair here. I am disappointed there is not a matching chair.

I had purchased the dining chairs from this collection last year and was really pleased, so I decided to get this desk, the hutch, and the small desk. I ordered two of each for our large home office. These are solid wood, not MDF. Out of six pieces, we had one small problem and will have to get a replacement shelf. They were easy for me to put together by myself. The keyboard drawer does have a lip on it but I use a mouse pad with a wrist rest that sits high enough to keep the lip from bothering me.

Do not hesitate to buy this piece! It is made from very sturdy wood and with the clean lines, it looks great in a small room. I also purchased the file cabinet/printer stand, which is just as nice and also recommended. It was easy to assemble, taking less than one hour.

I have had this desk for several years and it has held up well. I have occasional problems with the drawers not sliding properly, but it looks nice with all of my other natural colored mission furniture.

I bought this desk in 1998, just after a move, when my other desk/credenza toppled over from the move. It was cheap, and it seemed solid. I still have the desk, and it has been moved four times, and was stored in a damp basement for a couple of years before being moved up two flights of stairs from the basement to my room. It has its shares of scratches and dings, but with three very destructive kids using it, that's to be expected.

I would highly recommend this desk, as it has certainly stood up to much more than any $100 desk should! I'm trying to decide whether I can fit another one in my kids' room, since they need a desk now.
