This desk is good for the price. Not too bad to put together, except some holes did not line up and needed to be re-drilled. The desk is solid wood and not cheap veneer. We have used it for several years and it survive two moves without any problems.

This desk is very nice, once you get through putting it together. Immediatly I broke one the the screws (luckily it still worked) I had to have my boyfriend come over and help. We then discovered that the manufacturer forget to drill two holes, so we had to improvise. Once we got it together it looks nice and will serve it's purpose.

The directions are very bad on how to put this together. I have put alot of furniture together so I think that is the only way that I got this assembled. The mission hutch that goes with this- their parts are mismarked. My husband was ready to throw that piece in the garbage. I am more patient, & we figured it out. I give it one star because of the directions. The quality is not that bad.

I tried to assemble this desk and found three problems within 5 minutes.

Two of the cam lock screws stripped right out of the wood top; I can probably fix that with some epoxy. One of the cam lock screws snapped when I thried to tighten the cam lock; I'll have to ask for replacements.

The third problem is the upper crossbar is drilled incorrectly. The hole for the barrel nut is not deep enough, it sb about 1/8" deeper than the hole that intersects it. It turns out the barrel nut is 0.39" (9.9mm) so I can't just drill the hole out because I don't have metric forstner bits. I'll have to ask for a replacement part for this piece.

The quality of the wood is good for the price but the quality of workmanship is slipshod.

Very good size desk regardless of what the previous poster stated. This is much bigger than my old one, so that's my perspective. I have a 17" Monitor (non flat screen), 2 speakers, Cable Modem, Keyboard, trackball, Desk Caddy, a light & a framed picture all on my desktop and I still have PLENTY of room to write things down, room for a snack and am probably able to prop my feet up to paint my toes at the same time with room left over! I assembled the piece on my own in approx. 30mins. There are a couple of dings on the desk, but luckily those are on the backside which no one will see.

Great desk but can only be used if you want to have you monitor, phone, and a small printer on the desk, then it works well.It is not a workstation desk. You would want more around your desk, (ie, hutch, printer desk, etc) which is available and matches the whole feature furnitures. A nice purchase.

Desktop is small if you are going to use it with your laptop, an external monitor and an external keyboard. Not enough room to right things down or put things. Otherwise, it's functional.

PROS: This desk is attractive, sturdy, and large enough to hold a laptop, printer and other smaller items. It’s also very easy to assemble.

CONS: The drawer for the keyboard does not open and close smoothly. Luckily, I have a laptop and will use it for storage. However, if you do have a desktop this problem would be really irritating and the drawer may eventually just stop functioning so keep that in mind before purchasing this item. The other problem is that the hardware included with the desk is not of the best quality. I broke two fasteners without applying much force. Also, the screws for the drawer do not go in easily. You may need a power drill for that.

This is a nice desk - I use it for my laptop. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. It also looks very nice in my office (doesn't look cheap). There was slight damage during shipping, but Target's customer service made it immediately.

This is spacious, sturdy and looks wonderful in my room. I was looking for a basic computer desk and found this great desk at discounted price on couponalbum. I was able to put this together quickly and easily. It was a great buy and am thinking of buying a complete set.
