Good value August 13, 2008 Reviewer:  NicoleMinnesota (St. Paul, MN USA)  See all my reviews >

This tent is a pretty good value. I haven't had any leaks yet; I did apply a quick coat of seam sealer during the first use.

My primary complaint is that the fly on the tent I received does not have a window panel. The only way to see the sky from inside the tent requires leaving the fly off. (I took off one star for the discrepancy.) The other complaint/comment would be that I've had a surprising amount of difficulty putting the fly on. It takes me more time to position the fly than it takes to put the tent itself up. This is problematic in wet weather.

Getting past the relatively unimportant fly issues, I've found this tent really simple to put up. I put it up alone, usually in less than 10 minutes (not including the time required to position the fly).

Great tent for 2 individuals June 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Bernard Deren "b.deren" Real Name (Brooklyn, NY)  See all my reviews >

This tent is great for its value. Very easy to setup, you can have it up in 5 minutes. It is great for 2 adults or 3 kids. We had a blow up queen size air-mattress with enough room for bags in the foot area and large dog next to us. I highly recommend it.

pretty horrid. July 12, 2009 Reviewer:  Danielle Mentessi "dani m!" Real Name (St. Petersburg, FL)  See all my reviews >

We have had this tent for two years now, and we are currently looking to replace it before our next trip. We have taken this tent and camped all along the Eastern US, from florida to Canada, and out west from Florida to New Mexico. Although we have sealed the tents seams, and sprayed the tent, we can not keep the water out. The bottom seams are right along the bottom, instead of being elevated. That is the worst part of the tent. Also, the zipper often snags. The tent is large, and sturdy and has resisted 40mph winds, but again, prepare to get WET!

Good tent July 23, 2007 Reviewer:  Justin See all my reviews >

I bought this tent about 3 years ago and only used it a couple of time with perfect weather. This past weekend we took it out and had a lot of rain. It kept most of the water out. Just a little bit came in through the seems(I never sealed them). The second night we hung a tarp over us from the trees and got no water in the tent. Good size, easy to put up, overall very happy. I will buy Eddie Bauer tents again.

Wet everytime July 28, 2009 Reviewer:  EH? "EH?" (ABQ)  See all my reviews >

We have been using this tent for years. The first time we used it, everything got wet. Despite all attempts at fixing leaks, we get wet every time. The water seems to seep in through the floor and the walls and the doors... We have to sleep on air mattresses to be high enough above the floor so that the sleeping bags don't get wet and we put our gear in a large plastic storage box so that it stays dry too.

Great tent July 19, 2007 Reviewer:  Lucky Gizmo (Ft. Wayne, IN USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this tent about 5 years ago and and have had great experiences with it. I love the features. I bought it to downsize from a large & rather hard to put up cabin tent with no fly. It fits 2 people with no problem but it definitely depends on how & how much you pack. Its also perfect for 1 person - doesn't make you feel like you have "too much tent". It is easy for 1 person to set up. I haven't had to do anything to it including seam seal. Just clean it off before packing it away each time. I also like that the fly has enough overhang over the windows that they can be left open a bit in rainy weather and doesn't restrict the view. I would definitely buy this tent again and am glad to know they still make it.

Recently I did have some leakage and decided to seam seal for the first time. Part of the issue was probably my fault. I didn't follow the basics when setting up camp. I didn't adequately survey my spot for slope and set it up in a relatively shady portion. I don't have a ground cover cut to match the foot print of the tent but I always tuck the excess under the edge of the tent - I didn't do that this time. I even had plenty of warning of a down poor & didn't do it. When the rain came down I watched my neighbors scamper to secure their belongings from inside the main door. That is when I realized I had slope to my site and watched a 2' wide stream of water coming toward me ending in a puddle to my right. I found some water on the floor on that side. Then I noticed a puddle inside the main door. I figured I didn't fully zip it shut so the weather flap that covers the zipper was useless. I fixed that right away. I got everything dried up and put seam sealer on spots where the stitching holes showed light coming through, I also adjusted the ground cover. When it rained again, I did not get anymore leaking. Before I use it again, I plan on doing a more through cleaning and will apply seam sealer on all seams.

When looking for a tent be sure to consider the features you are looking for including the size. Dimensions are listed on the box of all tents. In my opinion, number of people stated on the box can be cut by a third or half to get an accurate idea of what it can accommodate. They usually don't include space for gear which can fluctuate depending on the season or expected weather.

great value July 10, 2007 Reviewer:  HaPPy CamPer "KR" (virginia)  See all my reviews >

I bought this tent after using a friend's in driving rain, with no leaking. Was disappointed that when I bought mine it didn't have the clear window in the rain fly (to see the stars!) but have loved most everything else about it. Spent the past week camping at the beach again with 30+ hours of 30 mph wind gusts and the tent held up wonderfully. Very little problem with leaking unless the rains last for 12+ hours. Yes, some zipper concerns on the front door, but 3 seasons in and they're still working. I'd buy it again.

Get a bigger tent June 24, 2007 Reviewer:  Realster See all my reviews >

I bought this tent for a 2 person camping trip. This tent is quite small. Can't stand upright inside the tent. For the price, i rather spend more and get a bigger tent.

Put in a queen airbed and you'll have just enough space for some luggage. But i do like the design, quality and ease of setting up.

We just bought this with a target gift card we received for our wedding and tested in out in the Smokey Mtns in NC. Withstood elements very well and insulated well in the cool mornings. Not as tall as I would like, but overall this is a great tent!
