I bought this toy several times before. Look around - make sure the one you get includes ALL the isntruments because they have taken the xylophone out (and are now charging more money). It used to be great. It's only "OK" now. And I feel cheated. Tried to return it in exchange for an original but Target did not know what I was talking about till I showed them their own webpage. Contacted manufactuer customer service about it and got NO response.

BAIT & SWITCH
Don’t be fooled! I have bought this great toy several times over the years, even for this Christmas at [........]or under. Now it costs more money and has less in it. They took out the xylophone! Still cute banging with those little snake sticks, but it’s definitely not the value it used to be. Buyer beware.

My 15mth old son got this for christmas and he loves its. Even my three year old loves it as well. They play with it all day long. It is very durable and would recommend this to anyone.

My only gripe with this toy is the ladybug bell instrument. The mallet on the chimes do not work very well because of the small surface area in which to tap. Even as an adult you're going to be tapping around on the chimes for that perfect sound.

Otherwise my son, who has had this toy for the last two weeks is somewhat intrigued by the mallets to the drum, especially and has swung those around and hits various things, other than his drum! The other toys, for whatever reason don't interest him right now, but I still think the instruments are fun and I suspect he'll eventually like them as well.

I would have rated this toy high, it is durable & fun for the kids - BUT - recently my son who is 2 years old tries to hand the drum from his neck & turns it the wrong way - he realizes it and then spins drum which causes strap to twist around his neck!! Its VERY DANGEROUS because he will continue to spin trying to get it undone which only makes it tighter and would eventually cause suffucation if unsupervised. We are removing it from our home, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this toy to any child under the age of 4 - my daughter seems to understand how to do it ok.

My toddler really enjoys this toy set. The only two down sides: the lady bug xylophone makes a very non-musical "ting" noise, and is pretty muffled. Also, he likes to put things around his neck, so the strap is a bit chancey to me.

My daughter just recieved this for her first birthday and she already likes it! I had gotten this same thing for a friends kid when they turned one and she loved it too! I'm so glad someone got this for my daughter! This def. seems like a toy that will be around for a while!

Out of every toy that my son has, his favorite is this one. He absolutely loves the drum and drumsticks. Every now and then he creates his own band. I play the tamborine, his father plays the guitar, and he plays the drum. The plastic on the top and bottom of the drum is torn up now, but please believe that he got about a year's worth out of it. He used it every single day and loved it. I am looking to buy another one. I would recommend this toy set to children who display an interest in music.

My 18 month son got this as a present. He doesn't really play with it, only the drum sticks. And he mostly uses those as weapons. The top is pretty flimsy and is already starting to break. The ladybug "xylophone" doesn't work as well as it could, the bells don't really chime.

My son received this as a gift for his 1st birthday...and boy does he love it! Its actually fun for all of us to play with as a family...He definitely gets a kick out of us using it together. Every part on the instruments seems to be secure, and they really are entertaining! I'm sure this is something he'll hold on to for quite a long while.
