My daughter received this last year for Christmas and still loves to pull it out and play with it. She often has her father and me play different instruments with her. She's really enjoyed playing with this and has learned the instruments and what sounds they make, too.

I just had to comment on what a versatile toy this is. I bought this for my son on his first b-day. He is three now and still asks to play with his "instruments." He loves the drumsticks and bells the most. I am so pleasantly surprised that the entire set of toys-drum container and instruments-have held up for two years and that my son STILL loves it-2 years later!
It's a great gift for a girl or boy and fosters their interest in music and play.
Great value toy! Highly recommend!

My daughter recieved this for her very first birthday. She loves this. She is very agressive for her age so I was worried she would break the lid (drum pad). That thing can handle her beating the mess out of it and sitting on it and bouncing. I love this toy. She loves every piece that came with it. Would watch the agressive kids as mine is, she cracked her daddy across the nose with the drum stick! LOL! I have no complaints at all. It had every piece it was suppose to and she adores it.

read the below reviews and was concerned with the bromine review. Turns out, I did some research and I'm assuming the reason the lady bug was removed was because of the levels of bromine. Seems like a safe toy now...

My son received this toy for his first birthday. It was by far his favorite. True, it didn't come with the ladybug, but really, who cares? It came with enough musical instruments that he's satisfied. He mostly drums on it, but he enjoys taking things in and out of the drum. He also loves to use the drum sticks on anything else (coffee table, mommy, dog, etc.) to drum. He plays with it almost every day, for probably a half an hour each day. Like most one year olds, he gets bored after a few min. but always comes back to the drum.... I love parents toys and would encourage other parents to buy this toy. Music is great for development and your child will love it.

We just got this for our two year old son. He loves it. He plays the drums and hands the other instruments out to the rest of the family to play with him.

His favorite part is wearing the drum around his neck to march, but after only an hour of having it home, he fell on the drum while marching. He has a horrible bruise on his stomach. I read the earlier review about the child who twisted the strap around his neck and between that and my son's fall, it seems too dangerous to me. I think we'll use it as a sitting drum and not let him wear it, which is a shame since he loves it, but I don't want him to get hurt.

I bought this for my 8 month old son. He loves to sit and bang on it. He loves all the rattle toys inside. He loves to pull up on it and push it around. My biggest complaint is that the top just rests on. I'm not sure why they didn't make it a screw on list. Not only can my son get it off (potential for breaking it), it makes it hard to travel with as if the drum slides in the car the contents can spill out. If the lid would screw on I'd give it 5 stars!

We got this for my 8mos old for Christmas. She has played with it a lot since then. She's now almost a year old and likes it even more. It's durable, brightly colored, and fun. My 6 and 4 year old like making music with her too!

We bought this for our daughter for christmas and its one of her favorite toys. She loves all the noise she can make with it, especailly the drum. I couldn't be any more happier with this buy!

My 1 yr 10 mo old son LOVES this set! Although he plays the drums MUCH more than the other instruments, he LOVES it! It's very durable, also. He's been known to sit on the drum (he's 30 pounds), and tries to stand on it. The xylophone ladybug isn't very "musical", so he uses the attached stick as a microphone. GREAT TOY!
