I bought this well over a year ago and now it's breaking! I have two TV's on top of it, plus my entire video collection inside (I own well over 1000 DVD's). The cheap piece of crap is warping like a windy river meadow. The front legs broke off simultaneoulsy last night and fell on my dog!! Thankfully he was okay but I lost my TV's and some of the videos were damaged, for which I will be seeking a full refund from Target. Save your money, and if you're looking to store hundreds of pounds of equipment, don't purchase this!!

My husband and I purchased this furniture as newlyweds and have enjoyed using it for almost a year now. We have moved two times already and they have not broken, though my husband is meticulous about taking care when moving. I was alarmed to read the comments about the armoire falling on top of children. That is horrible. I had wanted to use this furniture one day for a child's room. We are no longer going to do that. We love this furniture (so long as there are no children around it). It is cute and affordable and fits in with our beach cottage style home.

This item is awful. The legs are so flimsy. I had this dresser tethered into the stud in the wall. While my 3.5 year old was putting away her socks in the drawer, it fell down on top of her because all of a sudden, for no reason, one of legs of the dresser snapped off. She was pinned beneath the dresser. I had to pull her out and lift up the dresser. Thank God she was alright. I returned a couple of the drawers and the broken leg to Target. The dresser only held clothes, nothing on top of it, no TV, nothing. it's scary to think the leg could just snap off like that, it pulled the tethered strap out of the wall. Do not buy this item.

I was very surprised after purchasing this armoire that all the pieces were there and nothing was scratched or broken. I read the reviews online and was a little scared, but it was very easy(still time consuming) to put together. It holds just enough for my boyfriends winter clothes and then in the summer to switch back. Make sure you know how much space you are getting in the drawers so you arent dissapointed because looks can be decieving especially online! I bught mine on sale with the nightstand(which is EXCELLENT!) It's worth waiting for this piece to go on sale and I would reccomend this to anyone that wants something stylish, but not expensive.

I got this for my 2 year old's room, first time moved, legs broke, we managed to cut and sand down remaining legs, we've had it for about one year and we had to put it apart and rebuild it because it does not sat settled. The front side of the drawers fall off all the time because they are heavier than the actual draver. The holes for placing the rails for the drawers that the manufacturer made did not meet one with the other, therefore the drawers, once shut, looked crooked. You should really consider buying this only if you intend ti use it for a very short amount of time and you must have experience building furniture and tools because their instructions and holes do not match and are just awful.

Weight restriction

The Country Lane Armoire was very easy to put together and the directions were great. The problem with this unit is the weight restriction. I put a small TV in the right side of this unit and the middle of the unit started to sag after about two weeks. It needs a middle support. We had to add a metal brace and a cross brace to the armoire to keep it from sagging. When it sags, you cannot get the drawers closed.

I wasn't very pleased with this item. I love the style and charm it has, but it lacks in the quality department. Just a few mintutes after we put it together, when we went to move it around in the room, one of the legs broke off. My husband glued it back on and we still use it. I would definitely recommend using child safety locks of the drawers and door as well. My daughter, who was two at the time, ended up pulling it over. Luckily, her bed was there to catch the armoire, or it would have fallen directly on top of her.

I bought this armoire for my toddler's bedroom and I've been pleased with it so far. It was a little time consuming to put together by myself and would have been easier with someone assisting. The quality is actually pretty good for the price and holds quite a lot of stuff. The only down side was my son tried to climb to the top by standing in the bottom drawer and the entire thing tipped over on him. If it hadn't been for the bed there to catch the armoire, he could have been seriously hurt. So, use caution if you are buying this for a toddler or child as it can get front-heavy.

I purchased this armoire on sale and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and look of the armoire. The directions were clear and easy to follow and only took two hours to fully assemble. It is a great addition to my bedroom for the price. I would not recommend this piece for someone who is looking to store a significant amount of clothing since drawer space is limited. Overall, the price of the armoire on sale made this piece worth purchasing.

This piece of furniture is practical and really beautiful. My 5 year old daughter just loves it. I often will buy furniture from Target just to meet my budget. What do people expect from pressed wood? Don't drag it! The piece took my husband and I 2 hours to build. The directions are really easy to follow. The actual piece is really nice. It looks like really expensive, but it was not. I would recommend to anyone to buy this piece.
