The three drawers are not as deep as the picture suggets. The legs are very flimsy. I've been lucky that none have broken off. Then again I haven't tried to move it. I have it anchored to the wall since I use this in a child's room. We put it together in three hours. We've owned this piece for four months and there is still a smell to it. Hope it goes away. Other than that , it looks and works great.

I bought this piece at the Target store a couple of weeks ago, even after reading some of the bad reviews. It took my husband a few hours to put together. He found that the drawers weren't fitting together right, so he took the blue anchors that you are supposed to use to keep the drawers together out.(I think the holes that the anchors fit into need to be drilled deeper) And now the drawers fit great, and they haven't fallen apart. I do wish the walls of the drawers were as deep as the drawer fronts indicate, but they do hold a lot. All in all I am very pleased with it. I want to get a couple in wood for my boys, they share a room and we could use the storage. I am a little paranoid about the legs snapping off like some of the reviews say, but we lifted it to move it, and have had no problems yet.

We purchased this piece about 6 months ago. If you follow the instructions and actually know what you are doing you can get it together in about 1 hour. My husband and son actually put it together and we all know how men are with instructions. My daughter has it crammed with her clothes and all the doors close just fine. We also purchased the 2-drawer nightstand and it was easy to assemble also. Both pieces look great in her room. We will also purchase the dresser and the headboard.

I have bought 2 pieces in this collection and put them both together myself. I'm a small woman with no experience putting furniture together, and this was no problem for me. The directions are clear and easy to read. It takes time and patience but anyone can do it. It's best to use an electric screwdriver! You must have help moving the pieces once they are put together. They are heavy and cannot be dragged or pulled without damage(not unlike any piece of furniture). When they are put together correctly you don't have problems with the drawers etc. I have had both pieces for over a year, use them daily and they still look brand new. I am very pleased with my purchases and am about to by another set for my new baby's room.

Give Me a Break!!

My mother-in-law purchased this piece for my birthday and I've read these comments and have only a few things to say in rebuttal: First of all, I put the whole thing together and I'm a girl. Yea, it took time, but it's a big piece of furniture! Secondly, it even says in the instructions not to drag it while moving it because the legs could break, but that's just basic physics. I have all my tank tops (which is a lot!) in one drawer, all my underwear (another large amount!) in the other, and all my t-shirts in the bottom drawer which is a lot. The door area holds all my pajamas. I have to say that I haven't had a problem yet with the armoire or the drawers and i've had it for a year now. It gets daily abuse (need clean underwear every day and clean PJs every night!) It looks fantastic in our nautical inspired bedroom and we also have the nightstands and will be buying two dressers this weekend when we move to a bigger house. And don't drag it when you move it, that's just common sense! I highly recommend this piece. It looks great and had stood the test of time for me.

We saw this piece of furniture assembled at the store and decided to purchase it. It was simple to put together - took about 45 minutes. The pieces are marked and the illustrations are easy to follow. The drawers are not for heavy items but there are shelves for that. We are very happy with the piece and will buy from that manufacturer again. Also, we recently moved from the East coast to the West coast and it held up very well.

This item did take sometime putting it together, I managed to put the thing together myself. I would not suggest doing that. It looks great and holds a lot of stuff. I can see where some would have trouble with the legs breaking off. Just don't overload it and don't drag it when moving it.

Where should I begin............My husband and I purchased this piece because we thought it would be perfect for our new baby's things, well the thought was nice, but it was a nightmare! My husband spent over three hours assembling it and only to have one of the legs snap right off!!! It is true, you do get what you pay for and even with it being on sale for $99.00 it is crap!! I am very ticked off that something that originally priced at $159.99, wouldn't have sturdier legs. Needless to say, I am very pissed at this point and WOULD NOT Recommend this item!! Save your money, spend the extra money if you are thinking about buying this and go somewhere else!! It is NOT worth it! Now, we have to start all over again!!

I am normally not this vocal but........This is not made out of wood is particle board, it has a very shabby coating to give it the white color. It takes between 4-6 hours to puttogether even with a man! This thing warps, and breaks too easy, it tips over and the leggs snap. PLEASE do not try to get a bargain, this is a waste of money folks!!
Signed
Absolutely disgusted

What a waste of money. I thought that as a subsidiery of Thomasville, I'd be acquiring a relatively reliable piece of furniture. Was I wrong! First, I've assembled a lot of furniture in my life, but the kind of assembly here is very shoddy. Holes are placed in the wrong area, so I ended up having to drill all kinds of new holes which ended up taking hours. Worse, I've only had the armoire one week, and last night one of the legs inexplicably broke. It's very poor quality and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
