Everything You Need October 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Ferda 1 (Medford Lakes, New Jersey)  See all my reviews >

This mouse is really all you need if you're looking for a wireless mouse. I got this mouse over a year ago and I'm still using the batteries that came with it (I don't know how the other reviewers had problems) and even if you did have problems with batteries, just use rechargeable batteries and you're good to go. I don't have this exact mouse, but I have one that's pretty much identical, it just doesn't have the extra side buttons (and the part # doesn't have the HO in front of it). No leaking batteries, no loss of connection, it's easy to set up (providing you know how to flip an "on" switch and press two buttons), and it costs as much as most of the new wired mouses. The only slight problem is the plastic housing on the rf receiver that goes into the usb slot--like most "usb sticks", the fact that it's mostly hollow doesn't make it at all durable. Just keep it away from any walls or any obstructions and you won't have a problem. I originally bought it for my desktop computer that had windows xp and switched it over to my new laptop with vista without any hassle. There isn't too much difference with this mouse and anything that costs more, unless it's a laser mouse or some special gaming mouse. Too bad I misplaced the usb receiver so I'm stuck with the touchpad until I can find an alternative. Definitely worth every penny.

7 second version - This mouse is ball'n, I highly recommend, made a boo boo and now I'm struck with grief.

Don't waste your money October 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Student "BUBLBABIE" (Tulsa, OK,USA)  See all my reviews >

I have had this mouse for like 2 weeks and it was working fine. It was working one morning and I turned it off for a while and when I turned it back on the right button was working and the lights were on except for the under light and the cursor was not working. DO NOT GET THIS MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FAILS EARLY October 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Andres Borges Real Name (Los Angeles, Ca)  See all my reviews >

MOUSEWHEEL problem - had this only a month and the MOUSEWHEEL doesnt work right anymore. no use in it since it scrolls however it pleases. VERY CHEAP mousewheel.

That seems to be the only problem so far but its early if its mousewheel is that cheap what else will fail soon? At least it still points well and clicks well but maybe living in the internet age has proven the MOUSEWHEEL to be IMPORTANT. and I can't stand this issue.

CHEAP product. Spend a litle more and you wont be sorry you avoided this mouse.

Eats Batteries Like Crazy July 13, 2006 Reviewer:  Smokey "Smokey" (Bloomington, IN)  See all my reviews >

I have had no problems with the performance of this mouse, however it uses a set of batteries up in about two weeks! I've even tried turning the mouse off when I'm not at the computer, but it didn't help.

NOT WORTH BUYING March 15, 2006 Reviewer:  Bus Driver "always on the go" (Arlington, WA, USA)  See all my reviews >

When I got this mouse, it worked for about a day. The part that you click to use your cursor sticks continuously & is very hard to get it unstuck. Don't even bother buying this product, unless they change the design.

THIS IS NOT THE MOUSE I RECEIVED... October 19, 2005 Reviewer:  stephanie See all my reviews >

i ordered this mouse, but i received a different mouse. even though the mouse i received DID have the same number, it was not the one pictured here. a big clunky mouse with buttons on ONE side - one of which i could not reach unless i repositioned my hand.

CAREFUL ORDERING THIS, ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK.

Works poorly, Short life span December 18, 2004 Reviewer:  Rod T (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)  See all my reviews >

When new this mouse was barely acceptable. The software that came with it didn't work. I had to download new software form the company that made it (NOT GE) to even get it to work. The motion was a bit rough but I could live with it. Every day the mouse seemed to get worse. Changing the batteries sometimes helped, but you shouldn't have to replace them every day. After about 2 months it became completely useless. One star is generous, I'd give it ZERO stars if I could.

Awesome, Just awesome July 15, 2004 Reviewer:  RJ (Westminster, MD USA)  See all my reviews >

My neighbor picked this mouse up at Target for $20 for use on his PC that resides in his room. Well the mouse would only work about 3-4 feet from the base so I was like, "Why not add a larger antenna? It's RF (Radio-Frequency) afterall..." So he agreed. We used his AM antenna loop that came with his stereo and soldered to the two wires to different points on the original antenna loop. (NOTE: The original loop is integrated into the circuit board... Some scratching the mask off to expose the copper is needed for this mod) We then proceeded to test out the new antenna and the mouse worked a good 20 feet away from the base... So for $20, an AM antenna loop, some soldering skill, and a little time, we had a top performing mouse!

BTW, you must use an AM antenna as it is tuned to the same freq. the mouse uses. We tried a piece of wire and it did nothing because it wasn't tuned to the proper freq.

Can you tell I'm 15? Key word is,"And I was like"... I believe it's known as uptalk...

Works fine for < 1 month February 17, 2004 Reviewer:  Brian Holland (Fullerton, CA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased two of these for home use. Each worked fine for nearly 1 month before going bad. Batteries were replaced, S/W re-installed, etc. Less than 2 weeks later my daughter's went bad as well.
Horrible reliability combined with a tremendous amount of frustration over something so simple...

Sadly Disappointed February 14, 2004 Reviewer:  Jamie (Buffalo, NY USA)  See all my reviews >

Today I took the challenge and purchased the GE Wireless Optical Mouse (HO97990) at my local Target. Sadly, I will be returning it tomorrow. I thought my experience with other wireless meeses on other computers would adequately prepare me for installing this product. It didn't. Although the lights on both the receiver and mouse worked and I changed the AAA batteries, my attempts to get them to synch were fruitless. I walked away after several hours empty handed, never experiencing wireless computing at home. Tomorrow, I'll be replacing my regular mouse with another.
