I like the product that target offers, but find the shipping cost to be way too high for me. I recently found out that Wal-Mart has the same products for a lower price. For example, the large drawer at Target is for $54.99 (plus $16.99 for shipping) which totals to $71.98 (without tax). But at Wal-Mart, I found the same Closits drawer for $49.96 (plus $10.95 for shipping) which totals to $60.91. This is a savings of $11.07 when purchasing from Wal-Mart. I prefer to shop at Target, but if the I'm gonna save more at Wal-Mart I'm gonna buy it there. Remember, it's the same product, but at a cheaper cost.

If you call the 800 number on the closits.com website they will tell you what stores will special order for you.
in wisconsin try Ace Hardware, Menards and Farm & Fleet stores. You will not have to pay the ridiculous shipping charges either. I saved nearly seventy dollars just by making a phone call and a short trip to my local Menard's. I have special ordered items by Sauder before with nothing but pleasant results. I received my last order in about 2 weeks, same time frame that Target offers and I saved a load of cash that time as well.

This closet system is a great buy! It goes together easily with simple instructions that use specific directions and diagrams. I'm a 50 year old woman and had no problem putting the pieces together at a leisurely pace while watching TV. It was actually fun! The system went together beautifully in my closet and I couldn't be more pleased!
Heads up:
1) Make sure you plan your closet carefully first. If you go to the Closit website, it has a planning section that allows you to print and cut out mini pieces to paste on graph paper to help you with your design... very cool. Also, take the measurements of the height of your closet, too. You might not be able to build as high as you thought.
2) Start with the simplest piece first. The shelf and shoe pieces are basically the same. Start there and then move on to the drawer pieces.
3) The boxes can be heavy, especially the tall or wide units. You may not need help putting the pieces together, but you do need a strong back to pick up the boxes.
4) Have fun! If you take the time to plan your closet well, you'll love it!

We've had a few of these pieces now for almost 4 years. They hold up well, and best of all, the tracks the drawers use are very well made. We bought these at Target, and I wish they still carried them because the new modular system in the store is not very well made (we bought a few drawer units, and regret not looking elsewhere for more Sauder pieces). And, Sauder doesn't make black finish anymore, which is what we bought! (Not that this is in any way Target's fault - I just wish I didn't have to refinish them now.)

Pieces fit together well, decent materials that hold up (over a year old at this point). Versatile configurations - i've used them in several places other than clothes closet such as home office, storage closet, craft supplies organisation. Compared to other closet systems, I've found these to be the best for the money unless you want those wire ones that I can't stand. It would be nice if Target carried these in local stores though since they are heavy and shipping costs can be steep.
