HOrrible Product! November 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Andrea "Andrea W." (Providence, RI)  See all my reviews >

Though the curlers heat up quickly, the clips do NOT stay in my hair at all ... I have thick medium long hair and I had to go and purchase extra clips that were tight enough to hold the curlers in place. Very frustrating! I would not get this product if your hair is past your shoulders!

Not So Hot October 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Curl Queen (Wisconsin)  See all my reviews >

These curlers only got hot enough to give curls for a few hours. Not long term. The clips don't heat that long before you are putting them on after the first round. These would be much better if the tempature of the curlers got hotter. Don't buy them unless you don't need your curls to last more than three hours.

not what i was expecting September 29, 2009 Reviewer:  C. Trobaugh Real Name (Pittsburgh, PA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this yesterday with high hopes, and am returning it today. The clips barely hold the rollers in place - they just kept sliding out. Once I got them all secure enough and left them to set for a little bit, I took them out and my hair had more kinks than curls. I'm very disappointed with this product and would not reccommend it to anyone.

Horrible for long, thick hair July 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Brillant Brunette "Jennifer" (Ohio)  See all my reviews >

I have very long, thick hair and was hoping to replace my old conair rollers that died from many years of good use. I liked the fact that these heated up fast, but that's about it. I only got to putting 4 rollers in my hair, when the first 2 fell out. The clip does not hold if your hair is thick. I didnt' get any curl out of the two that did stay in. I am usually pleased with conair products, but not this time. I was VERY disappointed. I will be returning these and getting the conair jumbo rollers, which I have had success with.

FINALLY got the curls I want! June 30, 2009 Reviewer:  Some Redhead Girl (CALiiii)  See all my reviews >

okay so I went to Target last night and bought these rollers along with the Conair Pro Tech Medium Boar-Bristle Vented Brush (I STRONGLY recommend the brush, it heats up as you blow dry your hair to help straighten it & has ions to make hair shiny-works amazing). The rollers were the last box left and I was kinda worried about all the mixed reviews, but decided to try it anyway. I just used them about an hour ago and my hair looks exactly like how I've been trying to curl it forever. The jessica simpson/hilary duff type of curls. The top of my hair didn't turn out great, so I used my curling iron to fix it... but I know that just comes with practice. I used the smaller rollers rather then the jumbo. THESE ARE A GREAT BUY
PS if you have short hair, then these probably wont give you the desired results you want. Rollers give really loose curls and the shorter the hair, the puffier your hair will seem

I bought a second set April 6, 2009 Reviewer:  NBC (Iowa)  See all my reviews >

Let me preface this review by saying that I have never in my life had any skill whatsoever with hair. Mine is thick, naturally curly, and layered down to my shoulder blades. I can dry it with a diffuser, blow dry it straight, put it in a ponytail, and that is absolutely it. It is also frizzy any time that I dry it straight. To add to my hair woes, I've had tragic incidents with curling irons. So when a friend recommended that I try hot rollers for shine and control, I told her that I didn't know how to use them, but I'd buy some so that she could show me what to do. Anyway, I bought these and got impatient. Without knowing ANYTHING about rolling my hair, it turned out great!! I simply can't make it look bad with these, and it always turns out shiny--never frizzy! You probably won't get tight curls with these, as they aren't warm enough (I think burning yourself with these is next to impossible) to heat up all of the hair on the roller to the temperature required for that. I do, however, think the heated clips help a little so that the result is nice, loose curl or natural body, depending on the size of roller. I ended up having to buy two sets so that I had enough rollers for all of my hair. Yes, the clips do leave little dents in your hair, but they really only show up on the top layers of your hair, and if you dampen your fingers with a little bit of water, you can smooth the dents out. I hope this info helps!

Waste of money December 30, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Judge Real Name (USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this Conair set because I had a set of jumbo rollers that I loved for at least 10 years. I just cut my hair shorter so I needed some different sized rollers. What a joke the "heated" clips are. By the time they are rotated out, they aren't heated up yet. And they do not hold in your hair, I had to make sure they were in there securely and to not move my head much. The old set I have had wire pins to hold the rollers in place. They also left dents in my hair.

I would have given these a 1 star but it did curl my hair really nicely so I gave it 2.

Horrible December 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Riley's Mommy See all my reviews >

I bought this item twice. The first time the rollers melted in the heater. I returned it at Target with no problems. The second time, it just never turned on after the first time.

very nice for the price January 7, 2008 Reviewer:  scorpio rising See all my reviews >

[...] I've had hot curlers in the past and loved em, but never had a conair and it works pretty well. I was skeptical about it getting hot enough, but it heats up great/fast and is a nice alternative to direct heat from a curling iron. I was tired of my hair getting fried. I have thick hair that's mid-length so I need more heat and this hot curler sets my hair just right. My Mom has fine asian hair and it works fabulous on her too, because of the different heat settings. Some people have complained about their curls not staying in. I usually take a spray bottle and fill it with water and lightly spray the ends of my hair - so it's just slightly damp [don't saturate] and then curl it. Curls stay in all day, without a problem. A little moisture is the trick and sets my hair like I went under the dryer. The clips can pull your hair, just be careful because they fit very tightly around the curlers. All in All this is a great hairsetter for the price and gets hotter then those that cost more. I just bought this, so I can't comment on life of the product - but I definitely recommend it. [...]
