The pad has some actual vinyl or rubber sprayed on the back so it eliminates the need for a seperate vinyl case for the mattress. The stretchy sides could be a bit bigger to provide a more secure fit but it is overall a decent product for the price.

Folks, first of all it is a mattress pad. There really isn't much to say it does the exact job that we buy it for. It fits my Sealy mattress perfectly and no stains. I have had it for 18 months and no problems. If you wash it you should use delicate and either hang it on a rack to dry or light heat anything else and you could have problems with it as with ANY sheet or mattress pad. This is a no-brainer,,, it is worth the money and functions perfectly!

I thought this was a really good pad. It washed well (even after several times), fit the mattress well, and added a perfect amount of softness & cushion to the mattress.

this is a great mattress pad until it gets washed! it shredded in the washer on the underneath side, so the part that touches the mattress is all frayed and peeling, the top part that touches your babies sheet is in good shape but be aware that when you wash it it will begin to fall apart, i cant see us having this one to long, it will ware out soon!

This mattress pad is quilted, so it's extra soft. Works well with the Sealy Mattress.

This crib pad has protected his crib, and done a good a job, but it does not fit our seally Maxipedic mattress. I have to wrestle to get it on. Several reviewers thought it looked as through it wouldn't wash well. I've washed it probably 50+ times and it has held up fine. It just doesn't fit well around the sides of the mattress which makes it difficult to change. I like the idea of it being "snug" fitting, but it really could use a little more slack to fit better.

Crib Pads are probably one of the most valuable nursery items you can get. I needed an extra one to switch out when my little one "spilled" out of her diaper in the middle of the night. (it's a great idea to have two--as well as two sets of sheets) They wash up well, can be thrown in the dryer, and they definitely do their job of protecting that mattress!!

We have used this mattress pad for almost two years and it looks like new. The elastic washes and dries well and hasn't gotten hard or lost its elasticity.

I bought this mattress cover, and so far so good! I tried it out for fit, it's nice and tight. I have yet to wash this item and therefore did not give the product a 5 out of 5. Crib sheet will fit easily over mattress cover. I also purchased the mattress from Target and it is Sealy brand as well. Great purchases!! My baby will be nice and comfy in his crib : )
