I used this vacuum for the third time and by the time I got to the second room, it was dying. The third room it was dead. I just bought it a month ago. I've tried alot of stick vacuums and this by far is the worse.

This is by far the worst thing I have ever bought. Such a waste of money! It was louder than a jet engine and I literally turned it off the first time I used it because it scared me so bad. It just pushed the bits of stuff on my carpet around and hardly vacuumed anything up. The vent just blew everything around and the carpet was just as dirty after I vacuumed. I just got rid of it because it was a waste of time even trying to use it. I will never buy another dirt devil because of this vacuum. I have nothing good to say about this product.

I just bought this vacuum today and am returning it as soon as I can. It is the loudest vacuum I have ever owned. I couldn't believe the poor suction, yet it sounds like it should suck up the entire rug! It blows everything around, but doesn't pick anything up, unless it's on a bare floor and you are moving forward, directly over the item!

The suction is awful. I had to go over and over and over the same spots and the only carpeting I have in my condo is an area rug. It seems to just spread dirt and dust around. It picked up cat hair ok. Worked on the floor ok. It's pretty loud. It seemed like it was over heating after just 5 minutes. Emptying the filter was messy and not easy. Worst vacuum ever!! I had a small eureka bag-less for 5 years and it worked GREAT---it was small and yellow (not a stick vacuum though) not sure if they still make that model. I thought dirt devil would be a reliable brand but this model was extremely disappointing.

It is very loud, and blows air out the side moving all the dust on the floor in different directions. In other words, it doesn't clean the floors at all. Do not buy!

This product gives Dirt Devil a bad name. It is extremely loud, and the vent on the side blows out so much air that dirt and pet hair fly across the room before I can vacuum it up. Emptying the dirt cup and filter is disgusting. Dirt and pet hair stick to the filter so that I have to pull it off with my hands. I might as well use a broom and dust pan. Give me a vacuum with a bag any day.

I GOT MINE WHEN I MOVED TO MY TOWN HOUSE 6 MONTHS AGO I NEED IT SOME THING THAT WORK WELL AND EASY TO CARRY UP THE STAIRS SO I GOT THIS. WHEN I JUST OPEN THE BOX AND USED THE VACUUM DID NOT DUE NOTHING TO MY CARPET DID'T PICK UP ANYTHING OR ON MY FLOORS. YEA ITS SMALL PRACTICAL IF YOU WANT 2 SAY THAT BUT IT DOESNT WORK LIKE IT SHOUD. IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.

Got it for Mom. She has flooring. Not much carpet. It has lasted 5 years now. Remember to ALWAYS empty filter container and clean out filter after each use. About to get one for the mother-in-law.

I requested this item as a gift. Seriously WAY too loud. My ears were ringing! I did have to buy ear plugs!! And i agree about the air vent on the side of the unit as it does blow the dirt around and makes it hard to clean. It doesnt even pick up all that well. We have bare floors through our entire house and doesnt seem to clean even the oriental rugs very well either. I was simply looking for something to clean up messes quickly without having to get out the big canister vac that i have. also wanted a stick vac with a cord since the battery doesnt last forever. clearly would rather take the time to get out the canister vac than to use this one!

This vacuum cleaner has great suction and pick up. It really cleans hard surface floors good. A nice feature is that it tilts down to floor to clean under chairs. It is light and easy to store. Only complaint is that its powerful motor is a bit loud.
