Description

    Balderdash rewards knowledge and creativity. Players are given a word and they each write down what they think the definition is. The definition guesses are then read aloud and voted on. A player gets points if their definition is correct but you can also earn points if people vote for your proposed definition. Includes game board, 336 game cards, answer sheet pad, 6 movers, 1 die and 1 instruction sheet. For 2 or more players.

This game is hilarious. Players are given blank slips of paper. A card is drawn with a word on it that just about no one is familiar with. Players make up a definition of the word while the "dasher" (the player in charge of the round) writes down the actual meaning that only he or she can see on the card. The dasher then reads the answers anonymously--most of which are very funny--and players have to guess which is the actual meaning. If a player knows the correct meaning, he gets points (but very few will know the actual meaning); if other players guess your answer as the correct one, you get points; and if no one guesses the correct answer, the dasher scores points. It's a super easy game to set up and follow. I'm not sure if this is the original version or the one that includes initials, movie titles, etc. (I bought both from Target years ago.) Either way, you will not be disappointed.

This is a fun bluffing game that will bring lots and lots of laughs! The more players there are, the more fun it is. So, it is great to play if you are having a family get-together or a party. If you don't play with the board, you can have as many players as you want. We usually don't play to win, we just use the cards and try to bluff each other. It is also a very educational and interesting game that uses words that most people have no clue what they mean but they are real words. And, you learn the true definitions for the words. If you like playing board games, you have got to get this game! It is a blast!

We absolutely love this game in our family. My 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son beg to play it all the time, and it is guaranteed to make everyone laugh together. It is really great for helping the kids' writing skills and their imaginations; since they have to make all the answers sound plausible, they have to be well written. It's great for parties, too. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to get their kids away from the computer for a while!

This game is great for get-togethers. A must have game in any adult home. Fun for kids too. Also a great gift for anyone who likes to play games with others.

This board game can be played by all ages, and is even more fun with adults. The better the imagination and subtle gestures, the better player you can be. This game inspires creativity and bring laughter in every question. Every home should have this game before they chose others.
