Baby likes the singing, but parents might hide it sometimes! January 29, 2006 Reviewer:  Rose's Mommy "Rose's Mommy" (USA)  See all my reviews >

Ah Lily, where to begin? First off, she is adorable. She is a cute girl frog that sings in both English and Spanish, which can be changed by pressing her left foot. She has number stickers on her body in the shapes of hearts, butterflies and flowers. In her right hand is a book with the pictures of 1 bow, 2 butterflies, 3 flowers and the numbers written next to the pictures on page one, then page two has 4 hearts, 5 balloons, and two more pages of pictures up to number 10. Each number picture is a different color and Lily sings about them. Her song is "Hi, I'm Lily, and you can count on me. How many _____ tell me do you see?" She then picks an item and counts them. Followed by the song "I have lots of pretty colors, the _________ is _______." She then tells you what color that item is. Pressing her left foots changes her singing from English to Spanish.
It is cute, and my one year old does love the singing. She will do her little bouncy dance whenever she hears Lily's singing, and smile.
But she really does need someone helping her with Lily to play with it. Lily is very touchy. VERY touchy! When my baby holds Lily she always skips the songs. And we actually received 2 Lilys as gifts for our daughter, so I tested them, and they both skipped equally.
Also, the book is small and attached to Lily's hand. Only an older child would know to open this book to look for the corresponding picture Lily is singing about.
I really wish that she just had an off button (that kept her off), and was a toy that just sang a song and didn't have that book attached to her. Right now my baby doesn't really care, but it does drive my husband and I crazy to hear Lily skipping all over the place. She is nice to have to bring to Grandma's to keep baby happy and entertained though. And it is nice to have a toy that sings in English and Spanish, although the songs aren't exactly exciting.

Overall, Lily is cute, but annoying. Baby likes her, but she also like the plush Hug and Learn Baby Tad that sings just as much.
I prefer Tad. The Tad doll we have is twice the size of Lily, so not a good toy for traveling. But Tad sings real songs and doesn't skip the way Lily does. The Tad we have does not sing in Spanish, though there is one that does. (That toy I have not actually checked out)

I love frogs August 15, 2006 Reviewer:  Expecting Mom "Vikky R." (San Jose, CA)  See all my reviews >

I will start by saying that I love frogs. My husband bought me Baby Tad when we first dated. About a year ago we ran into Lily and bought it for my God daughter. Lily sings in English and Spanish!!

Now that I am pregnant, my husband insisted that we purchased it early for they may not have it anymore. We play it every night on my tummy. Since we are an English speaking family, we only play it in Spanish. I really do feel the baby reacting to it in my tummy.

We love Lily and would recommend to others. W/ all other stuffed animals/dolls, they do skip sometimes.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr. old niece, because she feel in love with my 5 month old's Baby Lily. My niece has learned to sing in Spanish with Lily. She goes everywhere with Lily. My 5 month old loves Lily too, when she hears my niece's Lily she just lights up and gets so excited.

Wonderful Toy all around August 29, 2008 Reviewer:  S. Cleveland Real Name (Birmingham, AL)  See all my reviews >

my daughter received lily for her first christmas (2006) from her "gran" and really liked it then. at the time, she was about 11 months, and while she had a bit of a hard time pushing lily's tummy to make her sing, she loved the songs and snuggling lily. she is now almost 3 (in february) and is still playing with and loving her lily. she can easily push lily's tummy now and can even find the items in lily's book to count along with her. she can sing along to all the english songs and some of the spanish ones. my only small con with lily is she has gotten pretty dirty in the almost 2 years we've owned her and is hard to clean. i've spot cleaned her a few times wiht some shout, but she is still pretty dirty. as far as wear and tear go though, she looks brand new. when we got her i wondered if the book would eventually rip off, but it has not, and believe me, she has tried to pull it when she was younger. we really love lily and think she is a very good toy for any little girl.

I love it, but my 21 month old is indifferent. January 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Momma to a growing family (Greer, SC)  See all my reviews >

My daughter loved it when she first got it (1st birthday) but it's since faded into the pile of forgotten toys at the bottom of her toy box. I think it's great, and feel that she may gain interest in it again when she is a bit older. The sound is good and clear, and not too annoying, like some toys. It also seems to be a very well made toy when it comes to the fabric, etc. I would reccommend it for any little girl, but 1 year olds may be a bit young for it...

Good gift August 11, 2005 Reviewer:  skidak See all my reviews >

I bought this as a gift for a friend's child who is turning one. My 33 mo old son has not stopped playing with it.

I may have to buy him a Leapfrog Learning Friend for his 3rd birthday !
