My twins (boys) received this as a gift at 2 years old and are still playing with it t 4.5 years old on a regular basis. They have tons of fun baking cookies and are now counting the "chips" on the cookies and know the numbers on the back. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that my boys typically play with this on a cookie tray that I purchased separately or in the muffin tray that we also received as a gift. The trays provide a way to practice balance. As I write this, they are dressed in their "Muffin Man" aprons/hats/oven mitts and are baking cookies. This set has held up all this time and my boys can be quite rough. I highly recommend this as a gift or purchase for your little one.
