I bought it to make smoothies, but it lasted less than 12 hours before it broke!

Poor quality February 19, 2008 Reviewer:  LN (New York)  See all my reviews >

I also used my blender to make smoothies a few times before the connection piece melted! From the first time I used it I could tell that the quality wasn't as good as my mom's Cuisinart immersion blender. The next time around I will definitely spend the extra money for the better quality blender.

Not good at all November 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Student mom (Seattle)  See all my reviews >

I used the blender about twice a week mixing vegetables for my baby's food. While blending the mixing arm disengages splashing food all over. I am throwing it away to the trash!

Poor Quality February 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Coffee Lover (Silver Spring, MD)  See all my reviews >

My husband used the product once, and it worked just fine. It served its purpose. After cleaning and reassembling the blender, parts of the connection point broke. I was really disappointed in the poor quality of the product.

Really loud noise after the third time I used it. July 5, 2008 Reviewer:  . "Jorge" (Alexandria, VA)  See all my reviews >

Dont buy it, dont make the same mistake I did.
After the 3 times I used it, the blade starts doing this loud noise that you think the blender is going to fall apart. The blade seems like oxidized iron. This is really not a good product. Its cheap, and after 5 uses you have to throw it away and buy another one.

I like it! June 25, 2007 Reviewer:  Shelly B "Outlander fan" (St. Petersburg, FL)  See all my reviews >

Wow, I am surprised at these reviews. I make protein pudding with mine all the time and it works great. Fast & easy and clean up is easy. The mixing cup has all the measurements you need on it, and it has a lid. The bottom part of the blender is removable for cleaning. I am happy with mine.

Worthless Junk February 2, 2009 Reviewer:  K. Johnson Real Name (Hawaii)  See all my reviews >

I bought this immersion hand blender in the store and the first time I used it I smelled something burning. The metal tube repeatedly detached from the top plastic part of the stick blender. I was only blending liquid on the lowest speed when this happened. Had I been trying to blend something thicker or had I tried to puree something I am certain this hand blender would have failed even more miserably. This product is absolute junk and I will never buy another Oster product again. I have had this issue with Oster products more than once.

I love this blender November 22, 2008 Reviewer:  MaryAnne K (Indiana)  See all my reviews >

I use this blender on top of the stove blending soups (to cream them) without having to transfer the hot soup into a blender and then return again to the pot or a bowl. I have found that it works like a charm. The only caution is that you don't lift the blender above the liquid line or it will splatter. (This IS cautioned in the instuction book). It is easy and is so time saving it is worth the purchase. I would recommend this to anyone. Cleaning is a snap too!

not good for repeated everyday use October 13, 2008 Reviewer:  Pennypincher "Cindy H" (Lenoir, NC)  See all my reviews >

My first blender lasted roughly 3 months. While blending the mixing arm disengages. I can see a crack in the plastic piece that attaches the mixing arm to the motor. Purchased a second one hoping it would last longer. Same problem. I use this item twice a day to mix formula for my son. Pay more for a better product.

Fell apart the first day September 3, 2008 Reviewer:  veryberry1 (Schertz, TX United States)  See all my reviews >

The metal arm detached from the plastic housing the first time I used this. Did the same thing the next three times. I returned it.
