this is constantly making noises which you cannot get rid off even after cleaning it which is a whole process on its own and now the thing just stopped working all together is a waste of money or in my case a bad present

I bought this two years ago and first I thought that it was working good. Little did I know that I was wrong. I had to clean the thing every other day and it says at the most once a week. My clean light on the machine has never turned on. I only knew to clean it because it would make a bunch of noise. Now that stupid thing doesn't even work. I clean it and turn it on again and it just make noise that means it should be cleaned even though I just cleaned it. I wish I would I have never spent money on it. I thought I would be saving have a purifier that didn't need filters, what joke. I would have been cheaper to buy on that needed filters because it would probably still be working today. Don't waste your money.

We have 3 machines,2 Quadro and 1 small. Excellent performance, keep them clean according to directions, invert the tower and turn on. Simple, even a caveman can do it. So much dust is on the blades when it needs cleaning, it's scary to think we would be breathing that dirty air. They are quiet until they need cleaning or the grills are damp from cleaning.Let it set after cleaning to be sure it's dry. Coming into the house from outside, smells fresh & clean. Had to return 1;no hassles from co., sent a new one with apologies.Have a major street behind us,and it gets a work out.We've had these for years. Good product,just keep clean.

Last year I bought a a big price super-dooper Ionic air purifier at Sharper Image. Within 3 months it kept overheating so I returned it to the store and they switched it for another new one. Well that one lasted about 6 months and just stopped working at all. With taxes and extended warranty it cost me about a big price. That wasn't the worst part. When I went to return it to the store, I found out that Sharper Image filed for bankruptcy...so, I am out $500. When the purifier worked, it did do an excellent job. Personally, I will never by an Ionic product again.

This air purifier seemed like a good idea at the time but it just can't handle much. It needs to be cleaned every few days and didn't really seem to make a difference in the meantime. You can't have it in a very big room and it's just kind of a waste of money.

The Ionic Pro Air Purifier is great! Used in an area of about 480 square feet(kitchen and family room). Amazed at how clean the air is. My wife and I are both smokers so this unit gets a work out! I gently clean the 'blades' every 3-4 days. We also have a small glass chandilier in the kitchen area that I just cleaned the 'haze' off after 3 months of cooking, smoking,etc. However, while I purchased this unit from a Target store, I recently ordered spare blades from the company to 'switch off' during the drying time...(about 12-24 hours to air-dry), and the direct shipped blades came damaged...so it's a bit of a hassle now to wait for my claim for replacement. This is not a deterant! Highly recommended!

I purchased this product, and I was very happy with the product for the first two or three months. However, over time, I began to notice that the unit would begin making a poping and crackeling noise sooner and sooner after cleaning. At first it took five or six days to start making this noise, then it started taking only one or two days - then it started only lasting 24 hours before it sounded like it needed to be cleaned again. I wasn't very happy with the low quailty plastic stick that you raise up and down as one of the cleaning steps. I am concerned about how well the product will last - however, the product does work and I must admit it works well. :)

I couldn't be happier with our Ionic Pro. We just received it on 11/28 and have already noticed a huge difference in the air quality of our home. We have two dogs and the pet dander was killing our allergies. The air is cleaner, the system couldn't be quieter and is very simple to use. Compared to other systems, this is a great value for the price and I highly recommend it. We are getting ready to order a second for our master bedroom.

When I bought this product I knew it wasn't going to clean every bit of dust and pollen out of my air. I had read Consumer Reports and they had reported that. From some other reviews that I've read online, some people seem to have expected that.

What I wanted was something that would freshen the air. Something to get rid of odors from cooking. The Ionic Air Purifier did just that. I've cooked bacon, sausage, grilled hamburgers, cooked cauliflower and within a few hours the odors were gone from my house. Before I would still have cooking odors in my house for days.When you walked in from the outside you could still smell the odors, now you can't. I could mask the odors temporarily with canned air fresheners or plug-ins, but the Ionic Pro gets rid of the odors for good. I'm completely happy that I won't have to spend any more money on air freshners.

Some people complained of burning odors and a humming noise. I think they didn't read the directions. The directions explain all of these things. READ THE DIRECTIONS before using this product. Others complained that the blue ON light was to bright. Come on, if that's all you have to complain about, get a life.

The subject line says it all. Before purchasing my Ionic Pro, I wanted to read up on it and I am so glad I came across this website and I could read other patrons reactions and comments on this product. Now it is my turn:
I couldn't be more pleased! I have lived in an apartment that was previously occupied by heavy smokers. I could not get that funky smell out of my apartment to save my life. I was embarassed to have friends come over, or I felt the need to apologize in advance. Well, not any more. I have had my Ionic Pro for 2.5 days now, it is silent, no smell whatsoever emits from the unit, and my apartment doesn't have that disgusting smokey smell anymore!!! I am more than pleased w/my Ionic Pro.
