This flatware set is disappointing to say the least. It's poorly constructed (the plastic handles are becoming dislodged from the metal part) and it doesn't look as "clean" as my department store 18/10 stainless steel forks, knives, etc. If you're sensitive to smells, as I am, this flatware will drive you crazy - there always seems to be a residual odor. I recommend first - reading up on what the "18/**" measurement of stainless steel means, and second - wait for a nicer set to go on sale. In the meantime, go buy some plastic picnic forks.

I bought one set of this flatware to "get us through" until after our wedding (we registered for some Oneida flatware). I liked the set so much, I registered for another set and we use this as our "everyday set." We wash them in the dishwasher and have no complaints so far. I haven't noticed any smell or lack of cleanliness, but maybe I just lucked out?? So far, so good for us! I really like the flatware and they have a good weight to them.

I really like this set; it has been durable, lasting through a family of seven. I'm purchasing one more set today to keep us from running out of flatware!!

This is a decent 'starter' set if you are on a budget. After a few months of everyday use, the silver parts on and around the handles began to turn rusty red - a telltale sign of cheap materials. The nice thing is, I wrote to the company who made the flatware and they shipped me a whole new set for free. I will continue to use these until I can afford a more quality set, but if you really want something nice and durable, keep looking.
