I bought 2 of these rack sometime last year. The bottom poles never stay in and the middle poles (connectors) constantly slide down. One of the racks finally snapped in two last week. It is not meant for a lot of clothes - especially not coats or suits. Maybe only 10-15 pieces of clothing. I won't purchase this particular garment rack again.

I purchased this rack to store my clothes while I searched for some sort of wardrobe system for my new house.
It never fully stood straight up and after using weights to balance it to stand up right, after putting maybe 10 sundresses on it it snapped. Yep, BROKE. I already threw the box and receipt out so I'm pretty sure I can't return it... off it goes into the dumpster.
Do NOT waste your money, this item is poorly made and useless.

I purchased this rack a little over 2 years ago. It has served its purpose until the plastic base broke in the middle of the night. It collapsed and scared the living daylights out of me. I highly recommend this but don't overload it as I did. I will purchase another one.

I purchased this to use for a yard sale and it was not sturdy enough to even stand up straight. I put quite a few shirts on it but they were mostly tank tops and it still kept falling. It actually busted one of the expanding rods off. I even put bricks on it to try preventing it from falling....didn't work. Took it back!

I use this garment rack for dance. It works great. I often carry 8-10 dance costumes and a shoe organizer onit and it has never given me a problem.

I am a clothing designer for exotic dancer and do all of my sales in-club. I purchased this 2 years ago for it's ability to hold a lot of garments. This rack is put together and taken apart 3 nights a weeks and I've put over 150 garments on this rack (weighing in excess of 80lbs). Except for developing a small crack along one of the holders for the horizontal bars, this had held up quite nicely. For the money, it has been well worth the investment.

I bought this to use for garage sales. From just storing clothes on the rack to get ready for my first sale, the plastic pieces that held the hanging rods cracked and the rod fell off due to the weight of the clothes - and I used it for baby clothes! I put it back up, but it continued to fall if there was more than a few things hanging on it. Also, the rack would lean very easily, and the whole rack came apart pretty easily, and it was worse if you tried to move it! One of the wheels fell off early on as well, and I had to glue it to fit back on, and it never worked properly from then on. I still tried to use it at the garage sale, but it fell over after an hour or so. Obviously, this rack is not constructed well and is really only useful for a few items at a time and not to be moved around. I'm in the process of buying a new one, and this time I'll pay for quality...you do get what you pay for.

I purchased this "rolling, mobile" garment rack to use occasionally - and even that was too much. If you look at the display pictured here on the internet, you see it has two shirts hanging on it. That's about all it can handle - that's as long as you don't roll it! I bought it to hang and transport basic dance costumes for my daughter. Mind you, these costumes don't weigh anymore than a typical dress shirt and skirt, at the most. We liked the two adjustable levels for both short and long clothing pieces. It is 90% plastic, the "tubes" fall down the minute you place just one hanger on them, and the entire unit separates the minute you start to roll it. I have only used it two times, and one of the castors (wheels) snapped off when I rolled it about two feet. I just printed my receipt from purchasing this only 5 weeks ago and am returning it! I have seen several parents using the "Chrome Commercial Folding Garment Rack" and they seem to love it. It is a much "heavier duty" rack, is very tall, but they tell me it breaks down easily and only has a height of about 5 inches when they pack it in their trunk. The cost of that one is about double this one, but I have learned you get what you pay for.
