FABULOUS! This is a great product! January 10, 2005 Reviewer:  Lisa Manske "natural mamma" Real Name (Wauwatosa, WI USA)  See all my reviews >

Well, before my baby was born, I never understood why anyone would need something like this. But, as everyone told me, you never really know until it happens to you!

This is such a great product for helping EVERYONE in the family get a great night's sleep. There is a lot of research showing how babies have more oxygen in their blood when they sleep in close proximity to their mother. From personal experience, I can tell you that mothers sleep better, too, when they can hear and touch their babies. No getting up in the middle of the night, either. You can stay in your warm bed.

We used ours until our daughter was 4 months old, then we switched to the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper. If you don't want to buy both, I'd recommend the Co-Sleeper. It also converts to a playpen.

This is PERFECT! December 8, 2004 Reviewer:  Kim (Minneapolis, MN)  See all my reviews >

We bought this when our baby was 1 1/2 weeks old when we realized she was not going to be going in her crib anytime soon. We only have a Queen bed, so it is a little crowded with her between us, but we still sleep alot sounder than we would if she was not in anything - it is better than taking any chances of rolling on her or her rolling over and suffocating. Baby is 3 months old now and she still uses this, but has almost grown out of it. We also use a receiving blanket on it as a sheet and can easily change it out. The light is perfect for nighttime feedings when you only want a bit of light. I don't know what we would do with out it. She also naps in it during the day and can be close by, on the couch. We have started carrying her in it and placing the whole thing in her crib after she falls asleep in hopes it will make the transition easier - working so far. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Works great for us!! October 15, 2004 Reviewer:  Candus (Texas)  See all my reviews >

This item has worked out great for us. My baby is a preemie and it appears that it will be a while before he outgrows it. I like it because I can carry it (even when he's asleep inside it) to the room I'm in and have him close by. I put a bassinet sheet on it and it works great. I love the light. I know if we travel anywhere we'll be taking this along. I highly recommend this item.

works great for us! October 12, 2004 Reviewer:  Jules Bohanon (Lakeland, FL)  See all my reviews >

For breastfeeding moms, I highly recommend this product, especially for those first couple weeks of rest and recovery.

Unlike the other reviewers, we like this a lot. Our baby sleeps swaddled, so he doesn't move around much. Yes, the Velcro on the crib sheet is annoying for washing, but if I ever remembered, I could wash it in a lingerie bag or something.

I also wish it was longer, because at 6 weeks of age my 12-pound boy will outgrow it soon. And yes, you'd better have a king bed if you sleep two adults.

Better options than this July 4, 2004 Reviewer:  Suzy (San Francisco, CA)  See all my reviews >

This item looks like a great solution as a co-sleeper but it is not. Problem #1: It's 17inches wide & only fits on a Eastern King size bed if there is a normal size parent on either side of this sleeper. Problem #2: Sheet is not standard & contains long strip of velcro that attaches to everything else in your laundry & has to be discarded since becomes tangled mess. Problem #3: It's interior is only 24 inches long, so baby quickly outgrows it. Problem #4: Exterior wall is very hard so parent's head can hit not to mention baby's head as well. What to buy instead: a changing pad that is cradle shaped to fit between the parents for about $25. It takes standard sheets (without velcro) & is soft, allowing parents to curl up with their baby while in bed & allows baby to still have her/his own space & be secure.

Not for us! May 23, 2004 Reviewer:  Angela Burns See all my reviews >

We bought this thinking that it was a great safe answer to co-sleeping. Our son hated it. He would scoot down and end up hanging out of the mesh side on the bottom. He ended up just sleeping on the bed between our pillows most of the time. One great thing about the product is the night light, I used it constantly. This product might work well if you have a baby that isn't very active; we have no complaints on the quality of construction. We bought it for a friend who had a very relaxed little girl and she liked it pretty well, although more for naps downstairs on the couch. Overall we would not purchase it again.

A Question about the Close and Secure Sleeper March 13, 2004 Reviewer:  LaWanda Wright (Minnesota)  See all my reviews >

Does the Close and Secure Sleeper matress pad use a bassinet sheet and if not where can I find a sheet that does?

Thank You,
