Great for keeping baby close July 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Karienn Souza Montgomery "lovingmama" Real Name (usa)  See all my reviews >

We use this in our bed and sometimes in the living room. It is great to have your baby safely right next to you so that you can feed (breastfeed) easily and quickly. I am able to soothe my baby without having to get out of bed, or turn on the lights.

Fantastic and Convenient November 24, 2009 Reviewer:  Superbaby's Momma (Woodbridge, VA)  See all my reviews >

I've been using the First Years Close and Secure Sleeper for four months and have finally come to the end of it's usefulness. I have a king size bed and it fits perfectly, no one is pressed for space. The only drawback is that my son is now too long for the sleeper and First Years doesn't make another model for older infants.

There were never any problems with my son sliding out of the end - the foot of the sleeper was sturdy enough to keep him in place. I supported the mesh sides with bolsters to keep his wandering feet contained. If First Years made another model for older infants, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Not good quality November 2, 2009 Reviewer:  JJP "Jennie" (MI)  See all my reviews >

I used this product with my baby boy for one night before deciding that it was not what I had hoped! The pictures lead you to believe that there is some support on the mesh sides near the infants legs ... nope! It's flimsy and my son squirmed down and rolled right out of it. Luckily I had pillows next to the sleeper because I was skeptical! Don't waste your money on this item!!! I am returning mine ASAP!

Good idea, didn't last long October 28, 2009 Reviewer:  AubreyMommy (Greenville, NC)  See all my reviews >

The idea of the cosleeper was great. Our daughter even slept in it for a week or two. But it was a little wide, even with our king size bed. It also wasn't very flat. The top where the baby's head goes was higher than the bottom, so our baby kind of slid towards the bottom.

It was great to have her close, and I love that it came with an anchor that tucks into the mattress. I wasn't afraid of things shifting in the night. It was great to have her close by to nurse in the middle of the night. And the light on it was just the right amount of light to see by, but not be blinded in the darkness of the room.

Works Great!!! Baby loves it! October 15, 2009 Reviewer:  N. A. Kossitch Real Name (South River, NJ)  See all my reviews >

My daughter is now three weeks old and she sleep like an angel in this sleeper. It is so convenient for me since I'm breastfeeding to reach over and pick her up during late night feedings rather than get up out of bed and turn all the lights on. It comes with a night light which gives off just enough light so you can see how to position the baby for a proper feeding without brightening up the whole room. It comes fully assembled and the sheet is easy to take off to clean and regular bassinet sheets fit the mattress well as replacements. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to friends!

PERFECT for travel August 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Stacy G (Grand Rapids, MI)  See all my reviews >

We LOVE this little bed for travel. We went camping with our daughter when she was only two weeks old and have gone several times since. The sleeper bed is easy to pack, takes up very little room, and fits perfectly on the bunk of our trailer. I wouldn't use it for regular nightly sleep...it would be a tight fit in our queen size bed...but it has been perfect for our camping trips, overnights at my in-law's cottage, and for naps when visiting friends and relatives. I know she will outgrow it fairly quickly (I think it's meant for young babies) but just the use we have gotten from it this summer makes it very worth it!

Worked for us. June 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Texas See all my reviews >

Although, my baby did outgrow this rather quickly, it allowed me to keep her safe and secure in bed with me during her youngest stage. I was also able to transition her into her crib with this after a while. I placed her in her crib in the Secure Sleeper. Once she became accustumed to her room and surroundings we removed the secure sleeper and never had any problems.

It was OKAY June 22, 2009 Reviewer:  MasonsMommy (New Jersey)  See all my reviews >

I registered for this item b/c in the picture, the baby fits!! I washed it and was going to use it when he was around 3 weeks(22inches, 10lbs), and he had already outgrown it! I mean, I guess I could have stuffed him in there,'technically he could fit' but he likes to sleep with his arms over his head in a full stretch and he was just too big to be comfy in there. Plus, the mattress is lumpy. Maybe my next baby will be smaller.

A little pricey, but worth it... May 29, 2009 Reviewer:  South Texas Mommy (Victoria, Texas)  See all my reviews >

I rec'd this as a shower gift and it has been a lifesaver.
My child was a preemie and so it was reassuring to have her right next to me during those 1st months. My baby is now almost a year old and I still use it when she wakes up in the middle of the night, that way we can both get back to sleep!

Waste of Money May 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Mom on a Budget "New Mom" (Phoenix, AZ, USA)  See all my reviews >

This is pretty big and bulky once you fit it between two parents, even on a king-sized mattress. Definitely pricey for what you get, and many friends tell me baby is ultimately uncomfortable. We ended up returning this, and buying the pack n' play with bassinet instead - so baby can still sleep right next to us (just not in our bed)!!! Don't buy this as a sleep positioner either... it doesn't position baby at all.
