LOVE THIS ITEM!!! July 15, 2008 Reviewer:  MOM OF 5 & A DOXIE (WISCONSIN, USA)  See all my reviews >

I PURCHASED THIS AS A REPLACEMENT TO LAST YEARS MODEL,WHICH I PURCHASED AT A POOL STORE. I ALWAYS SAID THE ONLY CHANGE NEEDED WAS ADDING A CROTCH STRAP TO AVOID "RIDING UP".WELL,THIS ONE HAS IT AND ITS ADJUSTABLE WITH BUILT IN VELCRO!! THIS IS A GREAT SWIM AID.MY DAUGHTER IS 3 AND SHE WON'T SWIM WITHOUT IT.IT HOLDS HER AT A GREAT HEIGHT IN THE WATER,THE VERY TOPS OF HER SHOULDERS ARE OUT OF THE WATER. THIS ITEM GIVES HER A GREAT AMOUNT OF MOBILITY.IT ACTUALLY ALLOWS HER TO DOGGY PADDLE AROUND THE POOL.SHE EVEN CANNONBALLS OFF THE SIDE, SHE DOES GO UNDER A LITTLE BUT POPS RIGHT BACK UP.IN A TRADITIONAL LIFEJACKET SHE WOULD TIP FORWARD OR BACK IN THE WATER THIS HOLDS HER UPRIGHT.SHE STILL GETS AN OCCASIONAL MOUTHFULL BUT SHE KNOWS TO JUST SPIT IT OUT.NEVER USE IN PLACE OF ADULT SUPERVISION BUT A GREAT AID IN BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND SKILLS!

Terrible swim trainer - don't buy! VERY dangerous February 11, 2009 Reviewer:  tennismom (pennsylvania)  See all my reviews >

I had the exact opposite experience with my tube thing. It worked great - as long as your child is not an aggressive swimmer. My daughter (aged 3.5) jumped into the pool to me, popped back up and went to grab a float toy - so she leaned to the right side and since it is an innertube, her weight was unbalanced so it flipped over and she was underwater, fighting to be upright again. But since it is a rubber innertube, she could not, without me grabbing her.

we have since switched to the wearable floating swimsuit that we both LOVE!

Learn to Swim tube trainer July 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Ryan Devoe Real Name (USA)  See all my reviews >

I was disappointed in the fact that my friend ordered the trainer and hers came in a blue. She told me about it so, I ordered it assuming it would come in the blue color also especially because that was how it was pictured. When I received the trainer it was a bright, ugly orange color. I felt disappointed! I returned it to my local store and decided to try a local swim shop instead. The color of an item is a big deal to some people especially when it arrives and is extremely different than expected.
Thanks for your time!

Works Great (with arm floaties) May 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Cool Dad See all my reviews >

With arm floaties, this thing works wonders. The arm floaties prevent the kid from getting off-axis and keeps the head and arms above water to prevent from tipping over.

Swim tube October 28, 2009 Reviewer:  PS "PS" (Maine)  See all my reviews >

My boys used this same type of Tube Trainer 20 years ago. I didn't realize when I bought it for my granddaughter who was only a toddler, that it was really too old for her. It seemed "timpsy". I do not fault the product with this. I am sure when we use it in the future, it will be great. I especially like the extra underneath strap. There is no way this can slip off. As always, adult supervision is imperative.

Great swimming aid August 12, 2009 Reviewer:  Patti Meli Real Name (New Jersey, USA)  See all my reviews >

I LOVE this wearable tube for my 17 month old son. He wears it to play/walk around the baby pool (1-2 ft deep. It gives him stability and freedom, but be aware that the kids do tip over in them. You still have to keep careful watch. Great product.

Excellent for my 4 year old July 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Elise Graziano Real Name See all my reviews >

My 4 yr old daughter just started swim lessons and I bought this thinking it would help her gain confidence in the pool. It definitely has! She can swim all over the pool by herself and she absolutely loves the freedom. I'm in the pool with her just in case she tips over (which i read could happen) but she's very active and has never tipped over, even when she jumps in from the side. I cut the velcro crotch strap off because it kept riding up her rear end. It is very snug fitting so the strap isn't necessary for her. She's 40 lbs. Maybe for a much smaller child it would be ok. I also bought a similar item from Leaps&Bounds in yellow but it is a lot looser fitting and she could fall out of it more easily so I prefer this one from Target.

I brought this for my grandson that was turning 2. It works
great! He is a very active little boy and the swim tube trainer will not let him go under the water. he is already
after 2 weeks of having it trying to float on his back and going forward like he is swimming. IT IS GREAT1111111
