I ordered this crib with matching changing table and dresser. They all match nicely. I was impressed with how fast they all arrived! Another plus- easy to put together. We did it together in less than an hour. Instructions are easy to read and follow. The slats are all smooth and the curved detail of the legs and top pieces make it a nice looking piece of furniture. We really like this crib.

Love the look September 27, 2007 Reviewer:  Loving motherhood (Knoxville, TN, USA)  See all my reviews >

We got this as a gift. Love the look. The problems we had with it was we had an end piece that they put the metal piece you put your screw in on backwards, one of the screws was messed up, and the front piece had a big scratch on. The only thing I would complain about is that I would say we had was when we got replacement parts. They sent us the wrong things, but got them really fast. The company is great about it, but the problems were that the first ones we recieved were the wrong color and the next order, the one piece was the wrong end. We have recieved each order of parts within the week. Very fast shipping.

Putting together was very easy. I wasn't expecting the crib to be as big as it is. We have it in our room, and between it and our bedroom set, we don't have much room left. Very impressed with how sturdy it is. I love the fact that it grows with them, and the fact that my son can have it for many years to come. Now if he would actually sleep in it. He is use to sleeping in our bed or in his pack 'n play. The only problem is that my 4 month old son is too heavy for the bassinet part. It only goes up to 15 lbs. (He has grown so fast, that the doc's are suprised on how much he has grown.)

Overall, we both love it. Just wish our son would sleep in it. Its going to take him a little while to get use to. (same way he was with the bassinet)

Great for the price! September 9, 2007 Reviewer:  New bay area mom (Pacifica, CA)  See all my reviews >

After a few months of looking for a decent, affordable crib we settled on this one. It is sturdy and fairly easy to put together. I liked that it came with the bedrails, a lot of convertible cribs don't come with the rails, they have to be bought separate. I got this with the changing table/dresser combo. Both looked great and match each other perfectly, no damage out of the box. The only small annoyance I had was tying the bumper on, depending on where you have the mattress set, it is hard to get the ties around the four corner pieces.

I'm Still On The Fence About This Crib September 4, 2007 Reviewer:  Basiliki Pelitari "bargain hunter" (New York, NY)  See all my reviews >

First of all, make sure you have an SUV or a truck if you purchase this in the store. Box is very large and thank god it just fit inside the back of my friend's SUV.

Also, don't assume that because you picked it up at the store you will be spared from dents or scratches that are likely caused when a product is shipped, because...well....obviously it had to get to Target somehow.

Simplicity really needs to do a better job at packing up the parts so that they don't dent or scratch. I held my breath as my husband pulled each part out, and he was very angry when he saw scratches (regardless of how small they were) and blamed me for making the wrong choice as far as cribs go.

PROS:
It wasn't too hard to put together, but definitely requires TWO people, and takes about 1-2 hours.

Looks like an expensive piece of furniture (if you overlook the scratches and nicks.)

Sturdy

Transitions into toddler and daybed, etc.

CONS:

The wood is soft, so be careful when attaching anything to it.

As you can see from the photo, the top front railing is very thick, this prevents you from being able to attach anything to it. (I had purchased a tooth guard protector that could not be attached because of the thickness and had to give it to a friend.)

Although you can attach a mobile, you are limited to where you want to attach it because of the way the crib is designed. (I bought the Symphony Mobile which is wonderful and works well with this crib).

Overall it's not a bad crib for the price. I'm interested to see how it will transition once the baby gets older. Will update then and keep you posted.

Nice and Affordable September 3, 2007 Reviewer:  Satisfied Couple (Fort Worth, Tx)  See all my reviews >

The crib is beautiful! Very sturdy and easy to put together. Even though the shipping seemed high, it arrived in 4 days without any scratches. For the price, it was worth it!

Not Perfect August 18, 2007 Reviewer:  :) "Crystal M" (Williamsburg, VA)  See all my reviews >

I love the crib and it took hardly any time to put together. However the material the crib is made out of is not "hardword" (my husband & myself woodwork). It got dented up and one of the front legs is badly scratched. However there was nothing we could do once it arrived, and I figure my son will end up scratching it up in the future.

Love it!! December 7, 2006 Reviewer:  Native_mommy "Marcy" (Phoenix, AZ)  See all my reviews >

I bought this crib for my daughter and it's a great crib. We've had it now for 2 years and it converts to a great day bed, only wish it came with a small sidegaurd because she has a tendancy to roll around alot. But all in all it's a very good investment.

Great for the Price October 31, 2006 Reviewer:  Jamie Christy Real Name (La Mirada, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I really love the way this crib looks. It has a beautiful design and I love the natural wood color. It looks like one of the $500 cribs, but way cheeaper. Everything came undamaged and was fairly easy to put together. However, The directions are wrong so be careful of that. It is easy enough to figure out on your own, but that is kind of a pain. The only thing I would change is to have some little plugs so the hardware doesnt show. [...] Overall Very pleased!

Very Disappointed x's 5 October 14, 2006 Reviewer:  Bummed Mom (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

I bought this crib in Aug. 2005 with a baby due Dec.2005. Disappointment #1:I bought the "Natural" colored crib which was more of a honey color and did NOT match the rest of the natural furniture in the nursery. Disappointment #2:The bumper does not fit when the matress is at the highest level. Disappointment #3: Mobiles and other crib toys do not attach easily to the sides of the cribs.Disappointment #4: Nails in the legs of the crib suddenly started to poke through the wood causing an injury hazzard to a child if they stick their arms between the slates..which kids do. Disappointment #5:Iv'e been talking to Simplicity for 3 months now and each time I called I was told replacement legs were being shipped THAT day. I still haven't received my replacement legs.

***Not worth the hassle*** October 12, 2006 Reviewer:  mom2b See all my reviews >

I read up on a lot of reviews before getting this crib. I picked out the crib because it was affordable, and I liked the honey color. I admittedly saw some reviews where people complained about the hassle they had in getting damaged cribs, but I thought "Eh, I can risk the hassle at this price - especially since I am buying it so far in advance". HOW NAIVE WAS I. When you are expecting a child/are pregnant, you DO NOT want to have to deal with this kind of stuff. [...]

I just broke down and started crying when I saw that after one return and a month of waiting for replacement parts on backorder, we STILL cannot assemble an undamaged crib.

When you read a few reviews for a baby item, especially a crib, that suggest there will be a hassle: LISTEN. I learned a big lesson, and I think Simplicity is a HORRIBLE company.
