I'm really happy I found and bought this chair. It was very easy to assemble, all the features seem to work well and it is sturdy but still neat im my daughters room. All to a great price.

I too just bought the Bedford desk and hutch from [an upscale retailer] and was cringing at the thought of buying their $400 chair to match, so I decided to check on-line and see what I could find. So glad I did! Although this chair was a hassle to put together, it is a solid, stylish addition to our home office that matches my desk very well! One thing to note -it does have some markings (I think an attempt at creating that "distressed" look) - not a problem to me, but a good FYI. Thank you Target!! I continue to be amazed at the quality and value I find when I shop with you!!

this chair is a perfect match for [an upscale retailer's] bedford desk, and at a fraction of the cost of their chair. it is actually extremely heavy and seems to be very sturdy. i was surprised that it has a distressed finish because i couldn't see that from the picture. after i got used to the idea, i prefer the distressed look. this is actually very comfortable as well. i love the chair, and think this is a great buy for the money and quality of the product.

When I finally got it assembled, this chair is great - comfortable and it looks a lot more expensive than it is. However, putting it together was more difficult than I expected. I had some issues with the casters screwing in all the way and attaching the arms required some maneuvering. Overall I would recommend it, but be prepared for some work on assembly.

For our anniversary, my husband splurged and purchased the antique white Bedford desk from [another retailer] for me. To get the desk and the matching chair was just too expensive for me to justify the purchase of the chair too. I looked high and low for a chair to match the desk, and lo and behold, found it on the Target website, of all places! We ordered it - (sign up for the Target coupon emails - we got 10% off as well as free shipping) - we were dubious as to quality. It came in a huge box, and like the other reviewer said, it was extremely heavy. My husband had to put it together next to the box. Took him about 30 minutes. Needless to say, the quality is very good, sturdy construction, sturdy piece of furniture. Goes very well with my Bedford desk, and SOOOO much cheaper than PB's desk chair (which looks and feels exactly like Target's version). Am very happy with the chair, and have had no problems with it at all.

I don't typically purchase furniture online but after reading the other reviews, felt this was worth the risk. I wasn't disappointed at all...the chair is SOLID heavy wood (be careful with the box, it's really heavy)and extremely comfortable. Assembly wasn't difficult at all with the instructions. I even let my teenager do it and he's very inexperienced in assembling furniture. It only took about 30-40 minutes to assemble. Only (minor) complaint would be that the screws heads get stripped rather easily in the allen wrench opening. Still seemed able to tighten adequately but could be a problem trying to get those screws out if needed in the future. This chair would have cost twice as much if purchased at [an upscale retailer] or somewhere like that (and the quality would be on par with any of their stuff).

My nuckles are raw but I love the chair. Attaching the arms was difficult- but overall is very comfy and feels sturdy!

I have this chair in Walnut and white. One for my daughter and the other for me. They are very solid pieces, somewhat easy to assemble (I had issues with the arms and using the allen wrench in some of the tighter spots). Obviously the second time around was easier than the first.

You'll have a genuine smile of satisfaction when you finish assembling this chair, and then get to sit in it. You may shed a tear along the way using the Allen wrench in cramped locations, but you'll forget any frustration when it's done. It's comfortably wide, great for short people as well as tall. Parts are easy to identify on instructions. Although the pictures are small, the arrows cleary show where each type of screw should go and how to stack the washers. A beginner can put this chair together. I found it helpful to place the seat piece upside down on a dining chair and lean the back piece against the dining chair to screw the pieces together.

Great desk chair. Very well made, but took some time to assemble:( Worth it, though. It looks perfect in a bedroom with white furniture.
