Description

    This 13-gallon touchless trash can is automatic and hands-free. It has a built-in smart-chip that opens and closes the lid without touching or stepping. Just move within 6” of the infrared sensor and the lid opens automatically. Move away and it closes in three seconds. Includes manual releases and open buttons on the front, a low battery indicator light and a garbage bag fix ring to keep bags from falling. Stainless steel exterior. 26Hx14Wx10D".

I was looking for a step-on can because the hands-free feature was important to me. Then I saw the Touch-Free. Being a person who likes gadgets and unusual things I just had to have it. I am just thrilled with it! So is my husband and everyone else who's used it so far. OK, it makes some noise (really not much), but it's a small price to pay for the convenience. I also like that it has an "open" button which allows you to keep the lid open until you press the "close" button.

Love it! Holds a lot and looks good in the kitchen. It's fun to open and close. It also has buttons so you can leave it open for awhile, rather than opening and shutting it over and over. It seems more sanitary and we're very happy with our new "toy" in the kitchen. :)

For the first few months this trash can was great, but one day the lid stopped working. A little plastic piece broke. I called the company to use the 365 day warranty. Because it was a gift from someone who has since passed away and I have no way of getting a receipt to prove date of purchase they would not do anything except tell me I could purchase a new lid for [...]. The part that broke should have been made of metal not plastic and the company should do more to stand behind their product and satisfy their customers. Guess that's what "made in China" stands for. I would not buy another product this "iTouch" company makes.

When my husband said he wanted this trash can, I couldn't understand why he would want one that was so expensive.... and technical! It has paid for itself in the sheer convenience and cleanliness it has provided.

We've had the trash can for 18 months and it still is using it's original batteries. The fact that I don't have to touch the trash can while prepping meals or cleaning the house is the greatest gift I didn't know I needed.

My husband made a great choice!

We bought this trash can more than two years ago, and have two boys under age 5. They love to open and close it just waving their hands over the sensor and it keeps it from getting dirty and germy. It has sustained some dents but has held up nicely and continues to work great through all of its use.

Great gift I received about a year ago. Works great and I have had no problems so far to date. I haven't even had to replace the batteries yet, which is a plus! I definitely recommend this to anyone. Looks sharp in the kitchen and works good.

I purchased this can [...] about 2 years ago. This can fits in small places and nice looking. I had a few problems though,

the sensor was sensitive. I Kept the Can next to the Fridge and it would go off everytime I walked within 3-5 feet of the front of the can.

After about a year or year and a half the nylon mechanics in the back of the lid that makes the lid go up and down wore out (stripped)

I now (by hand) move the lid up and down, kind of a hassle when I have icky fingers or something. the Lid takes size D batteries and I changed them twice in the year that it worked.

My advice is to put the Can in a non high traffic area so that the lid dosent keep moving up/down. also Kids seem to be attracted to the Can and will play with it after they get over not being afraid of it..

I love this trash can! Looks great. Very sleek. Works great...I have had mine for over 6 months and have not had to change the batteries yet. It holds a regular tall kitchen garbage bag. Easy to insert garbage bag on the included ring. The manufacturere packs this item very well for shipping. I was worried about cleaning the stainless steel but with the touchless feature, it does not need to be cleaned very often and has not been a problem.

My parents bought this maybe a year ago and we all LOVE it. I've put it on my registry but if nobody gets it for us then I'll have to buy it myself :)

When I cook I can leave the lid up to easily throw away egg shells, veggie scraps etc. and when my hands are dirty or full I can just wave my hand and voila! It magically opens.

We've tricked friends into talking to it and waving their hands, "do this and say OPEN" lol. And sometimes wven dance with it.. yes dance.

I LOVE that it holds nasty smells in very well. I just don't like changing the bag.. but that's not my job anyhow lol.

the product has been great so far.but when i purchased it it was supposed to be gift wrapped (i was charged for it)and it wasn't,ty for ruining my wifes christmas ....probably wont order or shop there again after the response i got....oh well will reinburse your 5.95........gee thanks...
