Inconsistent January 13, 2006 Reviewer:  6thofsix "CAM" (Western New York)  See all my reviews >

This scale works 2 days out of every 5. You can move it around and get a different reading! Not sure if it's the battery or the design but skip this scale.

Don't Be So Cheap With Your Health! January 2, 2006 Reviewer:  Healthy Wife "Mary M" (Billings, MT. USA)  See all my reviews >

We loved this scale until today (3 months after purchase date) for my husband to weight in daily for his cardiac rehab. program, but today it showed "LO" so I turned it over to check what type of battery it took. Opened the back and the part that holds the batteries in place came off and won't go back on. Tomorrow I will go back to Target to get a good scale and not be so cheap. It's worth it to keep us healthy.

Short Life, Not worth the buy January 2, 2006 Reviewer:  Kevin L. Ready "K. Ready" Real Name (Columbus, OH)  See all my reviews >

I bought this scale because it said it had lifetime batteries. After 6 months the scale died. It was nice while it lasted, but as little as we used it, I can see it dying within a few weeks of daily use.

This scale is not worth a dime. December 7, 2005 Reviewer:  shopper "shopper" See all my reviews >

This scale is awful and a waste of money. It never kept the digital image and the batteries die after a very short period and is a pain to find replacement for. I do not reccomend this scale.

batteries dead December 6, 2005 Reviewer:  Stump See all my reviews >

I bought this scale because it said right on the box.. Lifetime batteries

The scale stopped working after 8 weeks, because the batteries wore out.

I really, REALLY, REALLY, wish I would have bought a cheaper (Oops, this scale was cheap..... there was only one cheaper one) scale with the dial, that does not need batteries.
I tried to remove the batteries to buy replacements (two Lithium batteries for about 6-7 bucks) but I broke the little tab that holds them in the scale.... this little tab also completes the batteries circuit.

So basically If you try to replace the "Never needs replacement.... Batteries" You won't be able to replace them Because the scale will be broken

Horrible Don't Buy November 13, 2005 Reviewer:  Dedric Williamson (Casselberry, Florida United States)  See all my reviews >

This is a horrible scale, you weight varies throughout the day and the batteries only lasted about a month before they died even though they claim they are "lifetime lithium batterires". Don't waste your money on this stinker.

Junk! July 31, 2005 Reviewer:  Q. Hunt ":q!" (Seattle, WA USA)  See all my reviews >

We read the instructions. We set it on a flat level surface (hardwood floors) and initialized it by stepping on and stepping off.

It is HORRIBLY inaccurate. It was ~30 lbs low for me and about ~60 lbs low for my father. (The more you weigh, the more inaccurate it becomes.)

I'm not sure if it is just this unit, or if all low-end Taylor scales are this bad. I plan on returning it.

Interesting scale June 20, 2005 Reviewer:  jon N (Okeechobee, Fl)  See all my reviews >

It's a relatively good size, and simple as well. You just step on it, then it takes a second and your weight blinks. However, it seems that my weight can fluxuate (according to this scale anyhow) in a 3-5 Lb. range throughout the day. One time, I measured myself 5 times in ten minutes to test, and it was always fluxuating through a 5 lb range.
