after reading all the bad reviews of this product I felt I ought to write something to counteract it. after all, it has performed marvellously from the get-go, and I don't really understand why others had so much trouble with it. I wonder if there was just one bad batch from the factory?

I have tripped over this thing, when my little one leaves it on the floor (which is every day) and it fell down the stairs and bounced around and still played. And no, I don't just mean it played afterwards, I tripped over it one day while it was playing and it still kept playing! guess that is what they really mean by anti-skip LOL

I love that it keeps him occupied for hours on end, lets me get lots of housework done! and yet I can always know where he is just by listening, so I don't worry about him getting into trouble.....

the bright colors are really catchy and overall this toy has more to offer kids than a lot of other similar machines.

my advice to parents considering this toy for their children is try it, you will like it. some people having a bad experience doesn't mean everyone will.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. A set of batteries last for months. I've been able to play regular CDs and burned CDs without a problem, and the skip protection feature on this thing actually WORKS, unlike many other models.

HE loves it!

I ordered this for Christmas for my 3 yr old and it would not play any CD's. Very disappointing. The microphones work and it turns on, but that's it.

I to ordered on line for my 3 year old and the cd player worked for about 1 song.
I am sending back and getting another one and hoping I just got a bad one. My son loves to act out the songs so the mics are great.

We got this for our son for Christmas, and we LOVED it!!! BUT.... We have been using it for about 3 weeks and the micro phones dont work anymore. We are pretty dissapointed especially because it was not cheap. Our son cried today because we couldnt get it to work.

We just received this gift for my 3 year old for X-mas. It's already broken. It will play the CD for a few songs and then it just stops working.

This is player #3- the first one would stop playing after 5 minutes or so,(less than 30 days old),the second one never played, we put batteries in it at the store to check it,no sound came out,cd indicator was counting.Clerk said they were out of them and admitted a few had been returned. We don't use the Karaoke part of it because feedback is horrible since microphone cords are too short to get it away from the unit.We used it as a portable cd player to take to the grandparents house for bedtime use only.The units were never dropped or mistreated.These are tempermental,and exchanges have been easy, but KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!!!

Bought this for my daughter's third birthday. It's great when it works, although not worth the high price in my opinion. It's complicated to turn on and play and young children will most likely have a hard time operating it by themselves. The volume adjustment stinks (very limited range) and the microphones are on short cords that make it difficult for two kids to use them at once.

My son loves this CD Player. He is kind of rough with it and the Anti Skip function is great. It never misses a beat. It is alot of fun when we both sing along to his favorite songs. Highly recommended.
