If your family is like mine, you get a new kitchen appliance, you use it a handful of times and then put it in the cabinet, only to find that when you go back to it two months later, it's broken, or it overheats, or all the tiny peices are missing. I've had this mixer ever since I was about 16 years old (25 now) and it's still as good today as it was the day I got it. I accidently bumped it and broke off a plastic peice, but it hasn't changed the performance of it at all. I use tough recipies like bread dough and large batches of cookie dough and they don't phase this machine. Definitely the best in my opinion.

I recieved this as a wedding present, this is the best mixer. I could not believe how quiet it is. It mixes everything up so fast.. mixes cookies in half the time. I would recomend this mixer to anyone. It is the best!

I have had this mixer for 15+ years.If you are considering buying one but the price is high, it will be the last mixer you will ever need to get for a long time. My grandmother has one and it has lasted her for 30 years. The same with my mom, she has had the same one for 25 years.
I like the fact that you can mix up a cake or cookies and do something else in the kitchen. For the past 10 years my mother - in-law has given me the task of making mashed potatoes for Christmas. You do not get lumps with this mixer. My children also like helping make anything with this mixer.
The last item, the clean-up. It is so easy to get clean. I have the white one (the low end model...15 years ago it was the top of the line ) And it looks new the finish shines. I hope this helps you out and can tell you that you not be disappointed !!

I registered for this mixer for my wedding and it was one of my favorite gifts. It is excellent for making cakes and works spectacular for my favorite, mashed potatoes!
I was a little weary about purchasing this one, because it was the cheapest of the KitchenAid line. But I haven't found a reason yet, to consider it any less effective.
It cleans up nicely and is extremely easy to use.

This mixer is amazing. If you are making a meal for your family, but need to also make cookies or a dessert, you can put the ingredients in and do other things while it mixes. Also, it gets all the lumps and bubbles out of your cookie and cake mixes. It is an incredible machine, a bit expensive, but extremely worth the investment.

me and my husband have had this mixer for 4 years and it still looks and acts brand new the color is still white and glossy and it makes very good bread.i reccomend this mixer to everyone!
