BUT THE WAY THIS GAME IS SET UP YOU CAN HAVE A GREAT TIME IN SINGLE PLAYER! THE AI IS QUITE ADVANCED AND MORE THAN A HAND FUL CHALLENGE WISE IF YOU PUT THE DIFFICULTY UP!
THE ONLY DOWNFALL OF THIS GAME ACTUALLY 2 OF THEM:
#1. THE AIR SPACE IS EXTREMELY TIGHT! YOU CAN BARELY GET A JET INTO THE AIR AND YOU HAVE TO TURN AROUND OR THE GAME SHOOTS YOU DOWN. SAME GOES WITH THE HELO'S MY PERSONAL FAV. THE GAME IS WAY TO TIGHT NO THOUGHT PUT INTO THE 1500 MIOLE AND HOUR JET AS APPOSED TO THE 200 MILE AN HOUR WWII GAME!
#2. YOU NEED TO PUT 1 WHOLE SOMETIMES 2 AND 3 CLIPS INTO THESE GUYS TO KILL THEM. THATS NOT REAL ENOUGH AND HAS BY ITSELF TURNED MANY AWAY!
EA FIX THOSE TWO ISSUES AND YOU GOT YOURSELF A BEST SELLER!

This game has the best online play of any game iv'e ever played. The ranking system just makes you want to play more and more. My only complaint is the jets. How in the world are you supposed to turn something going 1,000 mph when you only have 2 miles. Otherwise its a great game.

It is obvious this game had a lot of ideas thrown around and many of them were inputed into it. Although nice that the developers were doing such a thing, they did not test to see how well these mechanics do work in such a game.
The in game voice chat is a nice feature, but the constant bugs, over-powered vehicles (helocopters) and lack of anti-air really bring the game down.
Was expecting more from the team that developed the modification Desert Combat from EA's Battlefield 1942.

Battlefield 2 is an excelent sequel to 2003's Battlefield Vietnam. With in game voice support out of the box, scaleable maps, and in game squad mechanics, Battlefield 2 is not only the best online action game to come out in a long time, it is also the best game to come out all year! If you like on line shooters do yourself a favor and play Battlefield 2!
