We had two of these sent to our home & neither one works. They were not shipped with any instructions on how to inflate the mat. Turning the valve does nothing. This is a very poor product. We filled one up by mouth & its very narrow - my 4th grader barely fit on it.

My husband and I purchased 2 of these mats for camping. We were each able to carry our own, and they are light-weight, which is just what we were looking for. For those who have not used self-inflating mats before, they are not the same as an air mattress. They expand minimally when the valves are opened, but can be topped off with a few breaths of air. If they are blown up entirely (which we did try!) they are much smaller in width and don't perform as they should. If you're looking for a quick and light weight mat, this works great. If you're expecting an air bed, look for an air bed and not a mat.
