Compatible is not to say it is actually USB 2. File transfer speed on this USB 1.1 device is 12 MB/s max (though you'll never even get that), compared to real USB 2, which has a maximum transfer rate of 480 MB/s. You do the math, it'll take forever to move anything to or from this drive. What's the use of having this much space when it's so slow as to be hardly usable?
