Nice to look at-difficult to assemble

This is a handsome product but difficult to assemble. The first few steps of the assembly process went fine but the last one (attaching the seat to the seat frame) took over 1 1/2 hours. There are 8 wood screws that are supposed to anchor the seat to the frame. Unfortunately, the predrilled holes were not straight. The result was that, when tightening the screws, the heads would start coming out of the SIDE of the chair, not straight up into the bottom of the seat. Had to re-drill all holes. Even then, it was a hassle to anchor the seat with all 8 screws. We had to settle for using four. Plan on a frustrating experience assembling this chair if you buy it.

This chair is very durable and comfortable for a desk chair. The only problem that we had is after 7 months, the wood on the seat dried out and split down the middle from one end to another. Thanks to Target's great customer service; they rectified the situation.

Not for the do-it-yourself novice.

The chair should have taken no more than 15 minutes to put together. Unfortunately, it was close to an hour. The holes for attaching the back of the chair to the frame were crooked and though not recommended, you do have to use a power screwdriver and a pair of pliers once you strip the screw to finish job. This chair is nice but not for the novice. It would be worth paying a few bucks more and getting a pre-assembled chair.
