A Trivia Game For Everyone

I play a lot of games. A few of them fall under the "party" category. And Wits & Wagers is the best of them!
When trivia games come off the shelf, half the people are up to the challenge while the other half groan. This game is perfect for both groups. One gets to test their general knowlege on some impossibly hard questions while the other enjoys the bluffing and betting that comes along with selecting the best answer. This is "The Price is Right" meets "Trivial Pursuit" with everyone having a blast.
With 600 questions, the game holds up to repeated plays. We play this game a lot, with a lot of different people. We enjoyed it so much that we made it part of our wedding reception where each table played in their own game. Everyone went away wanting more!
I highly recommend this game for any gatehring. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't like this game.

This game is fabulous! It goes fast and doesnt require too much concentration so you can visit while you play. We love it because the trivia buffs and non-trivia buffs can all play and the "betting" on the answers makes the playing field even! Its a gotta-have if you like fun, group games!

I bought this game last year when it played at a convention. It was fun at our large family Thanksgiving and holiday gatherings. We play teams and its great. I played with my high school students after exams were taken too. They loved it. I also used it with my Academic Quiz Team for a bit of a different type of practice. Everyone that has played it has asked to play it again. Our family is very diverse in age, interests, and backgrounds, tehy all played well. IN fact the teams that win, actually have been surprises and turn it around at the end. This game is literally hours of fun each time we play. Unlike other games, when we finish this one, they want to play again. I gave it as gifts to three of my friends..

Wits and wagers is the best party game we have played! It’s entertaining and you learn interesting numerical facts in each round. The answers and guesses are numbers, so the game does not tilt in favor of people who know a lot more trivia. This is hence suitable for people from a variety of backgrounds and ages. Each round is quite fast and you can end the game at any round if you need to go attack the food :-) .It’s addictive and we have had our friends request to play it many times. It has certainly made us popular amongst our friends :-)

When I played this game with some friends of mine, I immediately went out and bought my own copy when we were finished. Not only is the game fun, but you actually learn some interesting information along the way and enjoy lively discussion as you play. The game also moves along quickly, so it can be played in a short amount of time. The copy I bought had dry erase markers that didn't work, so I contacted the game creators and they were so kind to respond and are sending me new dry erase markers. Fun game + great customer service = wonderful experience! Everyone should own a copy of this game!

We bought this game as a Christmas gift and haven't stopped playing it since. We play this game for Game Day (or whenever we can!). From my 14 year old Nephew to my 80+ Mom, we all love this game. It is fun, educational and easy. We can't wait for the expansion pack of questions to come out. If you buy this game you will really enjoy it.

Non-Trivial Trivia

My mind remembers things that happened in the last 3 hours, not 3 decades, so trivia... that's not my thing... or so I thought!
Presenting Wits and Wagers, a trivia game that requires you to know no trivia! Certain questions you may have a stronger inclination about, but for the most part this trivia deals in numbers and years that hinge on good deductions and less on knowledge of the subject.
How it plays: The first part of the turn consists of someone reading the question and then everyone writing their best guess in numeric form onto their own erasable board (not letting anyone else see their answers). After the timer runs out everyone reveals their answers and places them in order onto the playing mat. The second part is the wagering phase where each player places chips onto the answer that they feel is closest to the right answer without going over. This wager is either 5 points each on two answers or 10 points on one answer. When the timer runs out the answer is announced and the player guessing closest without going over receives 10 points and those wagering on the answer receive their chips back and in addition the value of chips bet multiplied by the slot the answer was placed in. Nothing is forcing you to wager on your answer, and many times you will place your chips on another answer based on who you think knows more about the subject at hand.
The final round (seventh) starts the same as the others, but when wagering you can place all of your chips on one or two answers. The player with the highest total after the answer is revealed is the winner!
Because there are only 7 questions and most are total speculation by everyone, the game promotes alot of fun and laughs throughout the entire 20 minutes that it normally takes to play the game. You'd better set aside an hour because multiple plays are always requested after playing it the first time.
This is by far my favorite party game that anyone can play and even possibly win. My 8 year old won once due to her lucky guess on the seventh question. Everyone else had wagered on the wrong answers.
If you don't have this game, you need to get it. You can play as individuals or as teams, so those that are a bit intimidated by games can feel more comfortable playing with others on the same team instead of feeling like they are under pressure... of which there really isn't in the game...

Wits and Wagers is a game I first became familiar with when I saw it at a gaming convention in it's premiere. After playing the demo at the North Star Games booth, I knew I had to own it. I bought it right then and there. I took it home to my board-game loving family and friends and everyone had a great time playing! This game has everything you could want in a board game - a little bit of trivia for the inquisitive type and a little bit of luck/chance for the wagering type. Even my six year old brother played and had a blast. I definitely recommend this game to all!

Got it as a gift. Fun, but only for so long. Might have to adjust the rules to make it more fun for adults.

Played wits and wagers at a family outing over the 4th of July weekend. After the kids had settled in and gone to sleep teenagers and adults began to play this game. It was very easy to begin play. The rules were read to all in a matter of minutes and play began. Uncles and other family members who are normally uninterested in any such games found themselves getting involved in the fun. Everyone asked where this game could be purchased. I'd say that says alot for this product.
