Got this humidifier a few days ago and I am in love! It is absolutely adorable! No more stuffy nose and dry cough coming from my son anymore! It is so easy to use and truly "whisper" quiet. Buy this item NOW! Your child will love it too!!

I bought this and the similar elephant humidifier yesterday for my two kids with colds. We had some smaller Kaz brand filterless humidifiers which worked well but we have moved twice in the last year and couldn't find them. I read the great reviews and decided to try these. The penguin has a deeper water chamber than the elephant (which looks more similar to the other animal versions) and doesn't fit in our bathroom sink to fill but that's not really a problem - I just fill it from the bathtub. It does fit under the kitchen tap just fine. It is very sturdily built and seems as if it would take some effort to tip over. The handles on the water chamber are well-placed but I would use another hand underneath to hold it if it is full of water just in case. It holds a lot of water; I had it running for 14 hours on a low setting and it was still more than 1/3 full this morning. And it is almost completely noiseless. The only drawback I found is that my 2-year-old wanted to play with it. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an inexpensive, low-maintenance, quiet, efficient and yes, decorative humidifier.

i must admit that i purchased this humidifier primarily because of how cute it was but i have been pleasently surprised to find that it finctions beautifully and has helped me on many of nights too! No need to spend tons of money on a big humidifier when this cute little penguin does the job perfectly.

This baby is great. I collect penguins, so I asked for this for Christmas and my boyfriend gave it to me. We were amazed at how well it works, and its water economy - it somehow is able to pump a decent amount of water into the air while using very little in its reserves. We've been using it the past three nights in a row and it's still used barely half a tank. It's a great deal at the price, too. I highly recommend this humidifier. It's great for a cold or sinus infection, too - just add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil and it helps you breathe clear all night.

I purchased this humidifier last week & am quite happy with it. It puts out a good deal of moisture and is very quiet. The biggest noise that it makes is a slight sound of trickling water, but it is not enough to keep even a super light sleeper like myself awake. The tank is easy to carry and I love that there is no filter to purchase or clean.

We absolute love this humidifier. It is easy to use and set up. I plan on going back and buying at least 2 more. One for each child and maybe one for me. My youngest is prone to asma attacks. Since I put this up in his room, right next to his bed, I might add, he doesn't cough much at all. Since being so close to his bed, I have noticed that his bed gets wet from being on high. But, I either tune the snot away from his bed or turn it down. But, this is not a problem.

I bought 2 of these on a whim and I am so glad I did. I had doubts about its effectiveness because it is sooo cute, but it works great. I have been having serious dry throat in the morning (which apparently youre prone to in pregnancy, deep breaths and all) painful! This humidifier eliminates this problem completely! My whole head feels better. And though my daughter is too young to vouch for hers, she loves it anyway, saying "thank you for my present!", just because it is so cute.

It is quiet! A random drip is all I heard from it. To the person that said theirs kept spraying water everywhere and it didnt work at all : Take it back and replace it with another! It is obvious that one is defective. In any case it is well worth the $. Even my husband thinks it is cute!

Definatly set it up by the sink in case any water spillage...what happened with me is this..the head just sits on top of the body, so you remove the head and a handle is right there, then you take the body off the base and flip the body upside down. Unscrew the cap, and fill with water and make sure you screw to CLOSE. Flip the body rightside up and sit on the base and sit the head on top and SURPRISE..the water inside the body gurgles till the water disppears about 2 inches down from the top! Don't be curious like me, and take the body off the base, because I had water spillage. When you plug in, you need to push the botton on the base to turn on (which you can't hear if its on unless you put your ear to it-very quiet!) Then above is a knob to turn.. for low-which you don't hardly see the steam, but on high-wow! It's a breathing treatment..It's Great!

I bought this for my daughter and she really likes it. It's very quiet, it doesn't take up a lot of space and most of all...it's really cute! It's perfect for a kid's room. It has several different settings and has worked like a charm. I've let it run all night and in the morning there is still water in it. I don't have to constantly fill it up.

It's quiet! Has many levels to it... and so far -- over 24 hours hasn't run out of water!! Working great! I tried others and nothing seems to work so quietly and effiecent. you get what you pay for....
