I love this item! I have received many compliments from friends and family. It's cute and does its job in complete silence! I have had humidifiers before, and they were loud and bulky, this one is easy on the eyes and ears! My allergies have really gotten better after its use too. It also comes with a cleaning brush and is equipped with an automatic shut off when empty.

I have read some complaints on this unit and seriously people, it's a humidifier shaped as a penguin with mist coming out of its mouth! You bought it for a reason, for its looks! I have had mine for about 2 months and have had no problems. Granted it's a little messy to change, it drips when you pick it up, but it HOLDS WATER PEOPLE! Water is messy! You have to give a little here!

I put the bad press aside and bought it and I have no real complaints! When set to max the stream of mist is quite a sight! I highly recommend this to any adult with realistic expectations, or child (with adult supervision)! =)

We purchased this for our son's room. He suffers from allergies and congestion. It helps loosen up his congestion and stuffiness. It is easy to fill and use. It lets out a good amount of cool mist, which is nice because we don't have to worry about burns. It will last more than 8 hours if you turn it to a lower position.

I purchased this model for my son's bedroom. At first it worked well...cute design, nice mist, convenient controls, and fairly easy to fill with water once I figured out the system. But within a month or so, the blue plastic belly CRACKED for no apparent reason! So I glued it with Gorilla Glue, which looked messy but did a fine job. Then another two "stress" cracks started in unrelated areas on the belly and back of the penguin. I also found out that when the machine is turned off, but still has some water in it, the water sometimes wicks out where the blue plastic fits over the white base. As if these leaks are not frustrating enough, they appear to be inconsistent, so I can't quite figure out how to prevent them. I am tired of putting towels under and around this humidifier to absorb excess water that really should stay in the machine. If I hadn't just purchased this humidifier, I would not be wasting my time trouble shooting these problems. I am hesitant to buy another Crane humidifier because I don't know if the other models also have leaking problems. One more crack in the belly and I am pitching this bird in the garbage!!! If I were you, I would check out other humidifiers, models and brands.

I bought this based on the cute factor, though it works pretty well and has helped my sinuses during the allergy season. Though keep in mind you've got to clean it out like every other week, or else it gets kind of gross. As for leaking I haven't seen much on mine, just be sure to not to fill it too much.

We bought this humidifier for our infant son's room. My husband and I have both found that it's difficult to fill and move because it tends to leak. No matter what I do I end up soaked. It's also hard to set the fill compartment on the base quietly (so as not to wake the baby). Finally, I was cleaing it today and dropped the empty fill compartment in the sink and it cracked. It did produce a remarkable amount of steam when it worked...

I hope someone from Crane reads these comments.

I love this little guy... we bought this to help him with his first cold - easy to use, very quiet, helps with congestion/caugh, and absolutley cute!!!

This humidifier has been nothing but trouble. First, the penguin leaked all over the floor and I had to clean up the wet carpet in the middle of the night after attending to the baby. Now the on button is stuck in the on position. Finally, I wonder whether I am spraying moldy water into my son's room since there is no filter. This is an expensive room decoration.

My husband and I bought this humidifier for my daughter last night. We filled it up with water, plugged it in,it was whisper quiet and very easy to use. I couldn't even hear anything coming from it except a tiny trickle if you put your ear right next to it. It's absolutely adorable. Most humidifiers are pretty ugly, but this one really goes with the decor of a kids room, or any other room for that matter. We use distilled water to prevent film on the insides. I highly recommend this product to anyone. Since some of the other reviews have said they've had problems with it, keep the box and all instructions in case a return or exchange is warranted.

We had a baby nursery and I thought this was the perfect addition. The first problem was that it leaked if you moved it. I could deal with that....but after 3 weeks.....it has stopped working. Now its just a room decoration.

I have been looking for a humidifier for a long time. After all the great reviews on the other models I decided to purchase one. It is extremely quiet just like all the other reviews and very user friendly. I run it on low all day and then turn it up when I go to sleep.I bought the Penguin model and I've had it for about week now and have had no problems with it at all.....so far.
