Description

Featuring a remarkable wireless controller experience, the Nintendo Wii console invites players into game worlds and activities like never before. Whether they’re young or old, expert gamers or beginners, Wii players will express themselves with intuitive motion control using the Wii Remote: a flick of the wrist to swing a baseball bat or tennis racket, a backswing and follow-through to send a golf ball flying over a pristine fairway. Wii Sports, packaged with the Wii console, introduces players to those and many other experiences. Wii also taps into Nintendo’s unrivaled legacy of great games with the Virtual Console. Connecting via wireless broadband to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Wii owners will be able to spend Virtual Console points to download selected classic games from NES, Super NES and N64 video game consoles. And through WiiConnect24, owners will be able to access even more content. Four-player compatibility as well as the ability to compete with other Wii players over broadband Internet means that Wii offers a true social experience. The sleek Wii console, no larger than a stack of several DVD cases, includes Wii Sports, a sensor bar, an AV cable, a Wii stand, a Wii Remote and a Nunchuk controller for even more exciting game-control possibilities.

My Mii can woop on your Mii February 28, 2007 Reviewer:  Brandon E. Butler Real Name See all my reviews >

Nintendo has stated since they first released the specs for their newest console that it's not supposed to compete graphically with the Microsoft Xbox 360 or Sony's PS3. I own a 360, and I love that machine for it's incredible graphics, online content, demos, wireless controllers, etc. That being said, the Nintendo Wii, is still my favorite console. The games aren't graphically incredible, but they're much more fun to play than anything I've ever played before. Nintendo was originally going to call this the Revolution, but changed it to the Wii to symbolize the consoles multiplayer fun aspects (ii looks like two people standing beside each other). Everyone in my family, including my 90 year old Grandma (who loves bowling and MiiPlay's table tennis) and my 5 year old brother in law who loves Zelda's newest game. The console is sturdy, the media bay is brilliant, and the control design makes every game more enjoyable to play, just don't expect to see many "adult" themed games, because that's not Nintendo's style. The best part of the Wii is that you can purchase classics from NES, SNES, N64, and even more. Super Mario Brothers 3 anyone? Yes, pleas. Take back your PS3 and try to pick up a Wii.

Best Nintendo Product Out!!! January 31, 2007 Reviewer:  J. Finley "jfinley" Real Name (CT)  See all my reviews >

I bought Nintendo Wii at Target the day It came out and I have to say It is a great system next to Xbox 360 and a great gift too beacuse of its price only $250 and the games for It are fun. Better than PS3 maybe not in graphics power but in games and that matters the most.

Really fun! November 20, 2006 Reviewer:  Hollysboys See all my reviews >

I think this system is great, it gets you moving around, my poor kids were sweating away. LOL The graphics are really good, I love that you can download games, the features are wonderful and fun. It's really fun to create your own Mii (person). I love the Wii sports, we are all enjoying it as a family and I think that's great.

The only thing that was a pain was the controllers you had to keep connecting (they are wireless) so that was a tad annoying, but other than that-it is a great system!

Great March 4, 2007 Reviewer:  virexix See all my reviews >

I really like the system. I don't have one, but I tried a demo at a mall, and I really liked it. I think that DON X "DON XXX" is just a grumpy dude that doesn't like anything.

At home rehab, fun for all ages. August 23, 2009 Reviewer:  Sarah B (tallahassee, fl)  See all my reviews >

My mother had a hip replacement last year. She needed the surgery for some time, but (thanks to a very rare bleeding disorder,) she went without it for over a year. She was to the point where she couldn't walk. She gained a good bit of weight and was in a great deal of pain. Two months after her surgery, we borrowed my sister-in-law's Wii. I attribute some of her weight loss to the system. It actually helped with her rehabilitation and she was literally on her feet faster than she would have been with just her regular physical therapy.

Not only did my mother play the Wii, but my father joined in and lost weight, too! By Mother's Day, we bought one for her, and the entire family couldn't be happier with the results. My mother is in better shape than she has been in years. We play tournaments when the family comes over and it has replaced cards on our family game nights.

It is true; the graphics aren't the greatest with most of the games, but the games are infinitely more fun than any other system I've used. We've created a Mii (which is what the characters are called) for each member of the family--even the dog! I couldn't be happier with the product. We're getting the Wii Fit for her birthday next month. It is G-rated entertainment and fun for all ages.

Nintendo beat the best November 18, 2009 Reviewer:  5 Star Reviews See all my reviews >

The wii is the greatest gaming system with the actual MOTION controller. The wii barely has any cords so you can bring it anywhere. Lightweight, Durable, and the peole who broke it must of dropped it from a 10- story building. Buy it. Very durable and not too heavy. (:

Fantastic System!!! July 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Sarah See all my reviews >

This system is just fantastic, it's fun, really high tech, and just one of the coolest electronics I own!
Each nintendo system just seems to get better and better. It's neat looking how Nintendo progressed from the NES now to the Wii. It's well worth every penny and great for everybody, kids and adults! There are so many cool features and games.
I highly recommend it!!!
