These fit so much better than the hard plastic breastsheilds. I would leak from time to time with the hard ones. I have had no problems with these ones. They do however need to be replaced sooner than the hard ones, but it's well worth it.

I found these soft fit shields to be a bit more comfortable than the hard plastic ones that come with the pumps. They work well for me!

These were the wrong fit for me. I used them a few times, but found that I was sore (I ended up having to special-order the small size shields). I would imagine that if they had been smaller, they would have worked well for me.

The "SoftFit" breast shield does not get a good suction like the regular plastic shield that comes with the pump. It takes twice as long to pump when using the SoftFit shield.

I love Medela. Love, love, love the brand. I am not one that needs to have brand name products, except when it comes to Medela because they have never done me wrong. I bought these shields as an additional set for my PIS (never hurts to have spare parts!) However, these are definitely not high on my list of favorite accessories. They stick to the skin badly and I would literally have to "peel" them off, which (as you would imagine) was very painful for such sensitive skin. I have only cleaned the shields in the MicroSteam bags, never in the dishwasher and I know they're not warped. I have found that if I put PureLan around the areola before pumping, there is no sticking and it's a more pleasant experience. I do not get more milk, as other reviewers have. I pump the same as I do with my hard shields (which I don't find uncomfortable at all) and there are little air bubbles that form where drops of milk get caught between the breast and shield. All in all now that I discovered the PureLan trick I'm happy, but I had many painful pumping sessions before this. If I ever need new shields I would not buy these again.

My son was having trouble latching on until a friend suggested we buy these - now we're breastfeeding successfully! These are well worth the money.

I purchased the Harmony breast pump and it happened to come with one of these breast shields. Wow! I also have a pump-n-style that had the hard plastic shields. These were so comfortable compaired to the hard plastic. They also flex while you pump that mimics the baby's sucking. I was able to pump more oz. usuing these than the hard ones, And I was comfy. If you think you want to give up because you can't pump enough or because you are uncomfortable give these a try first. What do you have to loose.

I had almost given up on pumping and was tempted to switch to formula during my eighth week due to soreness and pain associated with the regular hard plastic shields. I was told about the new SoftFit and logged on immediately to read reviews. I read both positives and negatives but decided to give them a try before throwing in the towel. A small price to pay as compared to the pain of pumping and thought of my baby being switched to formula. It was the best decision. I absolutely love them and would not be breastfeeding today if it weren't for the comfort of these shields. I highly recommend them!!!

I avoided purchasing these for awhile because of a lot of the bad reviews I had heard about them - but I needed to replace some parts for my Pump In Style and decided to give them a go.
I was completely suprised by the fact that they were comfortable - when so many had complained about them.
The only thing I don't like about them is that they are frosted instead of clear like the regular shields, and its hard to see through them to know if you've gotten a good center for pumping. But thats no reason to not recommend them.
I have recommended these to my friends & anyone that asks.
Don't let the negative reviews turn you away - if the standard shields that come with your pump are acceptable - then these are really no different, just softer!

Not that the hard breastshields are very comfy either, but these can be awful! Sometimes, when all conditions are right, they aren't bad at all, but if your nipple is not perfectly centered, the rubbery stuff that makes it 'soft' is kind of sticky and doesn't slide at all, rather it pulls and chafes-- not a sensation I enjoy! But occasionally you get it perfect and it's fine.
