I received the magic bullet as a x-mas gift last year. I use it almost everyday!! I have never had a problem with it leaking or not working properly. Wound recommend to everyone!!! Having the magic bullet means you can get rid of blenders and choppers forever.

It's a great idea and I immediately made a couple recipes from the little book it came with. Followed the directions exactly as it said and the fresh alfredo sauce recipe from the book was great! We used it to make fruit smoothies the next day. Then, on the third day of using it, it started smelling and then stopped. Took it back and exchanged it for a new one only for the same thing to happen, this time in two days (just two uses this time). Returned for a refund this time and was told it was happening alot with this product. 2 stars as when it worked, it was good.

I bought this product from t.v. It worked good for about three weeks and then it broke. We tried to call the customer information number and it was the wrong number!! What a SCAM!!IF you buy it, buy it from a store and hold on to your reciept and box, because you could have to return it in a month.

Seriously, it was great. I loved making smoothies, gaucamole, etc.... but just the other day it stopped working. I can hear the motor going but the plastic blade that turns died... what a dissapointment. I want to get another one, but I don't want to waste [more money] just to have it happen again. I only used mine about twice a week for a year and a half. :(

I USE THE MAGIC BULLET EVERYDAY TO MAKE PROTEIN PANCAKES AND
PROTEIN SHAKES. THE MOST I EVER ASK IT TO CHOP UP IS APPROX. I CUP OF ICE FOR THE SHAKES AND I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN
AND JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR WHAT I WANT. I ALMOST DIDN'T BUY ONE
BECAUSE OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS I READ, BUT I AM NOT TRYING TO DO ANY CHOPPING...JUST BLENDING. I LOVE IT.

I didn't buy it, thank God, someone gave it to me as a gift. It doesn't chop ice, it doesn't grind Parmesan cheese, like they show in the infomercial, I have to cut the fruit into small pieces before I blend it and it still leaves chunks. It's good at grinding coffee beans though and the bean dips come out ok. The plastic is starting to wear and the motor smells sometimes. I assume it's going to blow soon.

Let me start by saying I HATE TO COOK (including cutting, chopping, mixing, etc) and I HATE CLEANUP! The Magic Bullet helps in both areas. It chops! It blends! Cleans up in a jiffy! We've made (in less than a week) breakfast shakes, bean dip, shredded chicken, and salsa! All were quick and easy and required little cleanup. Rinse and put it in the dishwasher! The machine is small and doesn't demand much storage. The cups, lids, and blades are easy to store as well. I'm so excited about this product. I plan to use it more than any kitchen appliance we have owned. Get it! You'll love it! (I plan on making chocolate mouse with raspberries today....the possibilities are endless). Enjoy!

I purchased this set primarily because it was advertised as extremely versetile, fast, and would crush ice and I wanted it for fruit smoothies. It did make those quite well though if I wanted them thick, there were often big pieces left in the mix. I found the cups and the mugs too small to work with and had to use the family size blender cup most of the time. After about 10 seconds of running time, a burning smell could be detected from the motor, especially if ice was involved. I often ran it on pulse instead of blend for this reason. Then one day, the motor just stopped. I'd been using it daily for about 6 weeks when this happened. Very disappointed. Set comes with a lot of pieces I never needed or used. For less than half the cost, I replaced it with a standard kitchen blender that did also crush ice and did a way better job on the smoothies.

We love our Magic Bullet. We use it everyday. I like fresh ground coffee, and it grinds coffee beans perfectly. Also, my husband makes smoothies everyday. I also like to blend things into my kids food (such as carrots into spaghetti sauce) it works great for that. I did not give it 5 stars because our original blade base wore out quickly. Magic Bullet did not return my calls about their warrantly, however, Target was good about replacing it. Also, after 1 1/2 years, one of our cups melted in the dishwasher.

The infomercial tells of all the things you can do with this system. What it doesn't tell you is if you use it daily, which you will if you see all the recipies in the instruction book, it will wear out the plastic base. The motor stays strong, but the bottom of the blade is plastic and it just tears up with use. I actually bought another bullet only to have the same happen, even though I was so careful to follow instructions and not blend over one minute. The motor on the 1st I bought still works but I have no blades and they don't sell spare parts. I am disappointed, but I am going to buy a oster bender with Mini blend cups I can get separately. If they wear out I found a site that sells spare parts.
