Fantastic when you know how to use it but it does brake.

This gadget's been wonderful. It took me a few months to learn how to actually chop things, instead of getting the mushy mess I had been getting. Once I got the hang of it, I used it for everything. I had it for almost two years and used it everyday, until the black plastic piece cracked in half. I wish they made better components, plastic get's weak eventually. Very disappointing. Still I'm thinking of buying another since I sorely miss it, and for two years of everyday use...I guess you get what you pay for.

I love my Bullet Blender!! I've had mine for almost two years. The only reason why I didn't give it the full 5 stars is because it doesn't do all it claims it can do.
For instance, if you want chunky salsa you can forget about it. This machine is a pulverizer! Because it's so small (base is the size of a coffee mug) it does stay on my counter, and is so convenient for small tasks that are often done in a two person household. Big jobs: maybe not... Small jobs: what a time saver!!
My favorite of course is the smoothies, any combination you can think of: juice, fruit (frozen or fresh), ice, yogurt, peanut butter, honey, milk (soy), alcohol, you name it! Of course there's also the fresh grated parmesan, I can get just the amount I need. Fresh bread crumbs. There's homemade pesto or hummus. I even steam apples or carrots with the microwavable lid and blend them with some cinnamon or brown sugar, yum!!
It has been a big help this week after getting my wisdom teeth removed. I've decided to get one for my Sister as a Baby Shower gift so she can make homemade baby food, talk about a money saver!!

Successful Smoothies, but not much else

Cheaply made, very disappointing. Good luck trying to prepare anything from the included recipe booklet. It works NOTHING like you see on the Infommerical. If you're expecting that level of performance, versatility and reliability - you will be sorely disappointed. The only good thing I can say is that it makes smoothies easily - and with extra party cups it's a hit at parties. But realistically, you could do the same with a good blender and your own set of mugs.
Don't waste your money on the Bullet - it's a real DUD.

I've had the Magic Bullet for a year. I use it every day. It's quick and easy to use. There is less dishwashing since the blending container is also the serving cup. It's small and doesn't take up much counter space. It's nice to have the 4 cups. I just put some orange sections, half a banana, some frozen strawberries, and a little pineapple juice in each cup, blend each for a few seconds and I have healthy smoothies for my family. [...]

Not worth the money

I bought this item with high hopes. I took it home only to find out it did not work. So I brought it back and exchanged it. The new one did work, however, no where near as good as this product suggests. I followed all directions carefully and tried making several of the recipies that came with the mixer. Not only did I have to stop the bullet several times and spoon stir the contents as only the bottom food actually mixed but I also ended up having to chop food that the blades missed. I tried making one last recipe as I had high hopes only to have one of the lids crack on me in the microwave after only 1 minute. Again, this was not worth the money. If you desire mixed drinks, etc. save yourself a lot of aggrivation and money and just purchase a blender.

We bought our magic bullet about 6 months ago. I think all the pegs broke off every cup. Like someone said in the last review, it is great until it breaks. We just now got rid of it and it started to chew up something inside, everytime you would use it little black plastic would fall out the bottom. We tried several of the recipes and they did not turn out. For example the salsa was just a soggy mess. Do not buy this item unless you plan on replacing it in 6 months.

I loved my Magic Bullet, for the 2 weeks it worked. I used it every day, for all sorts of things. I followed the instructions, read the booklet several times, and didn't overload or use it over the 60 second limit. However, the part that spins the blades is made of cheap plastic, and it stripped after 2 weeks. I took it back to the store, got a full refund, and bought a real blender made of metal parts. :-)

The MAGIC BULLET is not what you imagine it to be. If your only use will be preparing "thin" or watery type items such as salsa or protein shakes (with little or no ice/frozen fruit) then this is your mixer.
If though you plan on replacing your full size blender or food processor with the MAGIC BULLET then you are wasting your money. It wont work out.
The Magic Bullet is under powered, gives off a strange industrial scent from the motor when the motor is hot (this does not affect food flavor) and has a thermal motor cutoff that always seems to go off before you have completed your preparation.
This machine does have a use, but very light duty only.

I have had my bullet for about 1 year, and it has not left my counter. I don't really make smoothies or shakes, but, I do make alot of salsa, gravy and hummus. I even use it to combine my spices before adding them to my favorite dish. Oh, and scrambled eggs couldn't be more fluffy. Just add alitte milk, zap it and boom! Angelic scrambled eggs. And don't get me started on making your own whipped cream. Heavy whipping cream, splenda and alittle vanilla and whipped cream that is diabetic friendly. Don't be fenced in by the cookbook that comes with the Bullet, go crazy! Pulverize walnuts with splenda and cinnamon and add to melted butter for a diabetic friendly pie crust.
