The concept of this product is quick, and easy usage, which is very desirable for us who live busy lives. I did manage to make my family chocolate shakes with the product. However, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the materials it's made of. I had mine less than a year and the plastic round piece in the power base broke. I called Homeland Housewares to ask about a replacement part, and found out that since I am within the warranty they would send me a whole new piece for free. Sounds great, but then I realized they are going to ship me another whole power base and it's going to cost me $ for shipping. I suppose it's a better deal than having to pay for a brand new one again(without warranty). I guess I didn't understand why they couldn't just send me the small platic piece. If you chose to buy this product make sure to save your receipt and warranty information, otherwise maybe it would be best to stick with a regular blender.

I normally don't get enough fruit in my diet and with this wonderful gadget! I easily toss in some fruit and juice and blend for a few seconds and DONE. I also use this for when having guests over -- quick mixed drinks, salsa and sauces for dinner.

it was the best investment i ever made i love it! BUT it is a poor quality the cups breaks easy.

Its a cheaply built machine. Period.

It does not blend things well. Even the smoothies are still slightly chunky. Mine broke after 3 months of once a week use. The warning states that it cannot blend for more than 60 consecutive seconds. It should also include that it cannot handle thicker foods like hummus, which broke my machine even though I made straight from its recipe booklet.

I suspect the "5 star" ratings are written by the company. They read like the infomercial. Buy a blender.

DON'T BUY THE MAGIC BULLET!! WHAT A RIP OFF! [...]IT DOES NOT PERFORM AND CHOP AS THEY ADVERTISE ON THEIR INFOMERCIAL. I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND RECIPES AND IT DOES NOT CHOP VEGETABLES, GARLIC, TOMATOES... BUT IF YOU LIKE MUSH AND MASH IT DOES THAT TO PART OF THE INGREDIENTS AND THEN IT QUITS. THE PLASTIC PARTS DO NOT MAKE A GOOD CONTACT SO THE BLADES DO NOT CONTINUELY SPIN. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK. [...] PLEASE BELIEVE ME..... DON'T BUY THIS. [...] I FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. SHAME ON YOU HOMELAND HOUSEWARES AND ANYONE WHO ENDORSES THIS PRODUCT.

My husband and I received the magic bullet as a Christmas gift. I have been very disappointed in how it has performed. It does not chop ice well at all. You make egg salad and the goo sticks to the chopping blade. It is a hassle to clean. The 10 second recipes take a lot longer than that. Should just have a really good blender! Don't waste the money. It really is not worth it.

I bought the magic bullet a few days ago and I am not very satisfied. It does not grind seeds to a smooth texture evenly.Half of it is coarse even after grinding for more than 10 seconds and shaking it frequently. Tried grinding grated coconut to a smooth paste but, there again, its still coarse. My old blender works better at making a paste. But its good for maybe making smoothies or rather works with anything soft and not hard.

I have recently purchased the Magic Bullet for myself as an early Christmas present and I love it!!! It does everything the commercial says and then some. I have had no problems with the device but I dont want to jinx myself, plus the colored rings on the cups are genius. The only thing I could say bad is that the mixing cups are a little too small for my taste but other than that this machine is a good buy!

I purchased this item from Target and although I loved the product the base blender piece broke after 4 months of use. When I went to replace it I called the Magic Bullet company who were very nice but had to direct me to the company that distributes these to Target. The companies name is EMSON. Unlike the Magic Bullet company (Homeland Housewares), they require you to ship the bullet into them before they will send you any replacement parts.
