I have always loved bissell product since my Dad starting getting them, i use to love hoover but they were defected a lot of the time. They've bought over 20 and never had a problem with one bissell so i'm totally sold. I've owned 3 myself so far. It cleans great and you can get about 200 square feet clean with one container. I use more cleaner then recommended and get a lot dirtier water.

If you do not have a major job to do and your carpet is fairly new and/or not very dirty, this is fine. I go over a bad area over and over again. If it does not clean the first time, after it's dry, I've gone back the next day and used it again. It is not super powerful, but if you do not saturate, it gets the water up just fine. I use it every week now because it's easy to lift/use to keep my carpet looking good. Also good for area rugs, as its small and very easy to use. Takes 5 mins to put it together. The solution it comes with smells nice. I like the fact that the brush does not spin, cause it does not tear up the carpet. Also works on tile floors. An attachment comes with it or you take off the brush, depending on your model.
I would buy it again.

Gets the job done. It cleans great. Works even better if very hot water is used. Refilling the tank every so often between areas (for me) was not a big deal, it is somewhat small so that is to be expected. It does spit a little if it gets too full, that should let you know it's time for fresh water. Well worth it's price considering machine rental is expensive and a hassle!

After being doubtful about this as I am a hoover person I was shocked at how well this worked for the money. Picks up after puppies great and great for normal traffic wear. The item is good for everyday messes, but is small and must be empied and refilled every five minutes. Dries carpet well too. I would buy this for a friend for small cleaning, to do the whole house get a biggger machine or have a whole day to clean, USE HOT or BOILING water as it doesnt have a heater, but you change it so much it dont have time to cool down.

Doing some shopping and ran across this. I have the older version. I've had it over 4 years and gave it a star for each year. Never had any problems it and for the price you can't beat it. I have a indoor dog and 2 kids. The machine works wonders especially since i have a cream almost white carpet. I have found performance works best depending on the shampoo you use. I've gotten the dollar store junk and it just doesn't cut it and the bissell brand shampoo does great BUT I have found if you use the cleaning agent called Awesome which you can find about anywhere it does best getting out even kool-aid for me. You do have the change the water often if you are planning on doing more than one room and you should really clean it because its easy to get clogged. All in all its great.

works great on area rugs, not sure about floors. I just use it on my area rugs and it cleans them well. The rest of my house it concrete scoring so I'm not sure how it would do on hard floors.

A couple of minor quibbles, but good value

First of all, this is not a steamer per se--there's no extra heating in the machine. It's a carpet scrubber that uses hot tap water in addition to carpet cleaning solution.
Also, the user manual says that you can clean an 8 x 8-foot area before you have to empty the dirty water reservoir, which is true. What the manual doesn't mention is that if you aren't careful, the machine spits large quantities of suds out of the sides of the reservoir when it gets too full. That's a bit of a shock when it happens.
Those minor points aside, this is a good machine for the money. It gets out stains and removes most of the water from the carpet, and even fluffs up worn pile. It's certainly worth the money--it does clean quite well.
Just watch out for the exploding suds issue.

After reading the 5 star reviews I purchased this steam vac tonight. After 5 hrs of work, all I have is a wet floor. Didn't suck up the water on tile, old shag, new shag or burber. It is large, much heavier than I expected and aquard to handle. The scrubbing brush didn't scrub the stains. Seamed to have a lot of power but couldn't tell it didn't anything with it. The sprayer stopped working and couldn't find out what was wrong. You have to put hot water in it. It doesn't heat it at all. Now I have wet dirty pet carpet YUCK

The Bissel QuickSteamer worked wonders on our carpet! We had given up hope on hand cleaning the countless accidents our puppy made, but after using this product for the very first time our carpet looked like new! I am so pleased with this purchase!

I just used this product to clean our carpet after a long period of very sick dog-accidents of every kind. Little did I know how dirty the rest of the carpet was! The clean track I got was just like a commercial and now that I have done the whole room, the carpet looks like new and smells even better. I can't stop looking at this. The carpeting is off white once again!
