It's lasting longer than I would have expected. September 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Perrin's Mommy See all my reviews >

I bought this toy as a gift for my son when he turned one. He enjoyed the easier parts immediately and found the alphabet and number shapes interesting; but grew frustrated quickly trying to figure out what went where. In the five months since, it's gone in and out of toy rotation and is currently back in. The more he plays with it and explores; the more he learns and finds it more fun.

We've never had an issue with the keypad cover.
We've never had a problem with the clock door.
We agree that the phone cord could use a re-evaluation. I would suggest making it cordless; which could mimic real life phones.

Paint comes off! March 5, 2009 Reviewer:  allison221 (San Antonio, TX)  See all my reviews >

My 9 month old received this toy for Christmas and has been entertained by it ever since. Last week he had been playing with the plastic letters and numbers and I noticed little blue flecks of something around his mouth. Upon further inspection, I saw that the paint from the blue stripes on the "C" was coming off as my baby was chewing on it. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that the paint is non-toxic. I was not very satisfied with that answer because regardless of the fact that the paint is non-toxic, I still do not want my baby ingesting paint of any kind! All that to say that we threw away the letters and numbers, but he still plays with the activity cube itself.

Activity Cube December 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Ava's mommy "Ava's mommy" (Bennington, Vt.)  See all my reviews >

This is an ok toy. My 1 year old daughter likes the phone on it. So much that I actually cut the string off so she can carry it around with her. She loves the shapes and the sounds. She doesn't play with much else on it. It's a good price but I hope as she gets older she might play with it more.

Great toy October 3, 2007 Reviewer:  Mommy2two (Salida, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this for my daughter over 2 years ago. She still loves to play with it. I have not had any problems as other stated such as the door latch breaking, or the music not working. Another plus is that I've only had to replaced the batteries once and my daughter plays with it quite a bit. As for the string on the phone, it is extremly short so I don't know how it could get wrapped around an child's neck, maybe their wrist but that it.

Fun on many levels February 8, 2007 Reviewer:  Anna Guy "professional mom" Real Name (Brookhaven, PA United States)  See all my reviews >

I got this for my son when he was about 9 months old. He figured out how to open it pretty quickly and has always loved playing with the phone. More recently (at 15 months old) he is figuring out how to put the letters and numbers thru the slots. This toy gets quite a bit of abuse and has held up very well. I would buy this again.

Hours of Fun and Frustration! September 27, 2009 Reviewer:  juicyfruit007 See all my reviews >

How do I hate this toy? Let me count the ways ...
- overall the toy is bulky and frustrating
- the phone won't stay in its holder, so it is dangling all the time
- there are squeaky buttons on the actual phone that are too stiff for a toddler to push
- there was a strange clear plastic cover over the buttons on the phone panel that seemed to serve absolutely no purpose but to keep the kid from being able to push them! We finally pried it off.
- the music goes off if you come within ten feet of it, pretty much
- the letters/numbers are not very versatile - for instance, the bumps on the B are not the same size, making it that much harder for a toddler to figure out which way it goes into its hole
- that gnarled-up, slide-the-shapes-along, mess of colored pipes on the top looks exciting, but it is really annoying because the cube can't rest on that side
- you are constantly having to turn the cube to get to the thing you want to do and the dangling phone, the colored pipes, it all gets in the way
- I have to help my child with this toy - insert the letters/numbers, open the trap door for her, etc. etc. She is 18 months, BTW.
My daughter does love this toy. She recently spied it on the top shelf of the closet where I had hidden it, and so I got it down for her and she enjoyed it. However, it always ends in frustration, both for me and for her, and 24 hours later the toy has once again been (better) hidden back up in the closet.

Cube August 5, 2009 Reviewer:  LoveBNL See all my reviews >

My daughter got this as a first birthday present. She has not gotten her finger stuck in the cover, but the phone itself has been very hard to get out. My husband and I can't figure out what triggers the music and lights to play on the top. It would also be better if the keys would play more than one song. She really likes dragging it around and playing with it though and she's very hard to please with actual toys.

Great travel toy July 12, 2009 Reviewer:  T.H. (Texas)  See all my reviews >

We got this toy for my daughter when we travel. She loves playing with it and it has so many different activities to do. She is 11 months and I think she will continue to play with it for the next year or so. The only problem is she can never get the plastic cover to the phone numbers off. The plastic cover has not come off yet, but I am sure it eventually will, which will be no big deal.

Not that great April 2, 2009 Reviewer:  K.B. (Fort Worth, TX)  See all my reviews >

This toy is awkward for my son to play with. He didn't care for it at all when I first bought it (when he was 12 months), but he likes it somewhat now (20 months). It is a bit difficult for little ones to figure out how to close the "door", and the music is SO quiet he can barely even hear it. I'm all for quiet toys, but seriously...we cannot hear it at all unless the house is totally quiet. Also, since it has the shape sorters on both sides, it gets awkward for him to turn the cube over and over again (it's bulky for a small child). I really love the idea of this toy; I just believe it could've been executed much better. It says it's for 1 year and up, but I would suggest it's more suitable for 18 months +. (I know all children are different though)

Fun and SAFE! January 30, 2009 Reviewer:  practical (Texas, USA)  See all my reviews >

I got this for my son when he was a little over a year old. He needed my help at first but over time began to figure out how to play with it himself (I believe the recommended age is 18 mo). He is 3 now and it has been one of his favorite toys that has kept him entertained for long periods of time and has taken lots of beatings and still looks new. Even though he doesn't play with it much now, I am saving it for my daughter. I am sure she will enjoy it, too. I definitely feel we got our money's worth. PS - We have never had a problem w/the cord. It seems too short to choke on.
