Too many "extras"

I registered for a much simpler version of the PnP (e.g., Safari model), and my well-meaning friends got this one thinking it was an upgrade. It is, but honestly, I would rather have the simpler one.
ASSEMBLY: Perhaps I was in the throes of 3rd trimester "baby brain," but it took me forever to get this thing set up! The instructions are all bad line-drawings, no words. But once it was done, it is easy enough to break down.
SIZE: I live in a house with standard doorways, and the unit does NOT fit through the door. Pain! I wanted this to be able to move it from room to room, but in order to do so, you have to take out the bassinet part, kind of break it down to its floppy state, move and reset up. Not a huge deal, but impossible to do while holding a baby.
ACCESSORIES: The changing table is kind of silly. I never used it and took it off. The mobile is cute, but the song lasts for maybe 1 minute at the most. The little bag on the side apparently to hold diapers is silly and useless. And this version has built in "bumpers" on the bassinet part -- I would rather just have the mesh for safety reasons.
BASSINET: I read other reviews and had high hopes for my newborn to sleep on the bassinet portion in our room, but he hates it. I guess babies sometimes hate the "bigness" of space around them and often prefer a smaller space, like a cradle, where they feel safer. Yet another reason to just go for the simpler version.
All in all, a cool product, and I am sure as a playpen it will be great, but long and short of it, save yourself $30 and get the scaled down version.

sturdy Pac'n'Play

I love this play yard. It is very sturdy. My expensive Babi Italia crib broke and I was unable to get it fixed due to poor customer service (I will never buy a product from them again). So I didn't want to buy another crib for my 20 month-old because she won't need it that much longer. Well she sleeps in it just fine, actually better than she ever did in her crib. My 4 year-old and 6 year-old also decided they needed to test it out and it held up to them just fine. In fact, sometimes my 4 year-old will climb in at night and I will find him with the baby in the morning. They have been doing this for a couple of months and it is just as sturdy as ever. I am due with my fourth baby and wanted to check out the bassinet feature. Again the older two had to test it for me. The bassinet swayed a little side to side like a swing would, but I really don't see how a newborn could get trapped or hurt in any way. The matress fits securely in the bassinet and and a newborn doesn't weigh 40 lbs (way over the weight limit) like my monkeys. We have taken it on camping trips and picnics, and it is super easy to set up and pack up. I also think it is lighter than my friend's Eddie Bauer Pac'N'Play. Over all it is as great as the more expensive models, the only difference I can tell is the bassinet doesn't vibrate. It would be cheaper to but a bouncy seat that vibrates than buy the expensive play yards. This is worthy every penny if you need a play yard.

I love this pack and play! The changing table and diaper stacker have been especially helpful on our trips to see family. It's not as "fancy" as the more expensive models of pack and plays, but it's everything you would need to get the job done. The only negative thing is that the changing table piece does not fit into the carrying bag.

We didn't get to use the bassinet very long since we have a very healthy, large 6 week old baby. Still, it worked great while we did use it. We will try the play yard out as the baby gets bigger. It matches our travel system. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This is a great pack and play! We have this in our living room and we use it as a changing table and "crib." It is very nice to not have to take our son to his room every time for a diaper change or a nap.

I purchased this unit just before Katie was born - had it set up in less than 10 minutes. We use it in the living room as a second crib/changing table and it is soooo convenient. Now Katie will be going to grandma's while I work and I am not wanting to give up my Pack-n-Play to her so am now buying a second one for over there.
If you're looking at the pricier models, I would recommend picking this one up instead as it's sturdy, comfy for baby, easy to take down/put up, and is worth it's smaller price in so many more ways!

We received this as a shower gift from our baby registry. I love the color and the pattern. It was so easy to put up and add the accessories like the changing table, etc. It is also very easy to fold up and put everything into the carrying bag. The only thing that doesn't fit into the carrying bag is the mobile. I only gave it 4 stars since our little one isn't here yet, so we haven't gotten to see how well he likes it.
