Car seat not safe February 2, 2007 Reviewer:  M. hood "MOM" Real Name (T.P. IL.)  See all my reviews >

This car seat was hard to carry heavy and my son was very uncomfortable in it. By 4 months he barely fit in it. It does not snap good in the base. It also got one of the poorest ratings from consumer reports for saftey because it did not always stay in the base at a 35 miles per hour crash. When my son was 4 months we replaced it with a new car seat and are alot happier. But we still use and love the stroller. Your better of buying your car seat and stroller seperate so you can get a safe carseat and a stroller you like, and then purchase a carseat stroller frame that allows you to use your car seat as a stroller for under $50.00.

Great Stoller!!! Very Attractive February 1, 2007 Reviewer:  Melissa Dallas,TX "Melissa M" (Dallas, TX)  See all my reviews >

This is a great travel system. Very easy to use, lightweight, easy to get in and of car. The overall look of the stroller is great, looks more expensive than what it cost. I looked at a lot of systems and for the price I think this one is the way to go!!! Very easy to fold just make sure you really pull up on the red part then press the yellow button to fold. Other than that simple and easy.

Great Buy! January 30, 2007 Reviewer:  First Time Mom "LG" (Richmond, VA)  See all my reviews >

I'm a pretty avid review-reader, but have some issues with some of the reviews posted about this stroller.

One mom sited a recall of a car seat that isn't even the SAME system. (It should be noted that both Consumer Reports and The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have both said that the Discovery, the system she questioned, is safe).

Granted, the first time I took the stroller out of the box, my husband was trying to show me how to collapse it, I had a little trouble, not realzing you have to lift upward before you allow it to go down. I don't see how this could self-collapse or "crush" my child... I put all of my weight into it and could not get it closed from the locked position without properly following the instructions. I think this says alot about the integrity of the stroller.

I have not had any further problems with this stroller or the car seat. It is average in weight and bulkiness, and the z-shaped handle makes little difference, as all carriers are awkward to carry (esp. if you have a smaller frame). Putting the stoller up was easy as well, the tray folds away nicely, and the color scheme is very nice.

I urge anyone who has any questions about this stroller to do the following things:

1. Go to the store, take the display off the shelf and test it! If its too heavy/bulky, you'll know before you buy and can compare to the other systems out there. Do your research - thats the beauty of being able to go to the store.
2. Read instructions carefully. I get the impression that some people aren't taking the time to put it together right, and thus feel it is unsafe or unstable. Just take your time...
3. Take the carseat to certified safety experts to ensure its installed correctly.

Stroller collapses and crushes baby!! January 30, 2007 Reviewer:  TargetShoppingMommyOf3 "Mommy of 3" (Texas)  See all my reviews >

Any Evenflo stroller with the one-hand fold-up will collapse and crush baby!! It is defective!! My first stroller was one of these, and thank God my baby wasn't in it at the time, but we had it set up in the upright position fully extended. An hour later it just collapsed and folded up by itself! I set it back up to see if it would happen again, making sure I engaged it in the "locked" position, and it kept doing it over and over. Unless my house was haunted, no one was playing with the stroller. Do not put your baby into this stroller unless you want to fold him or her up and break their bones.

Very pleased! January 26, 2007 Reviewer:  Make life easier (Cincinnati, OH)  See all my reviews >

Although the stroller is a little heavy, it is very easy to open and fold back up once you get the hang of it. It's good quality and very sturdy. I did have trouble getting the base tight in the center of my back seat, but the local fire department helped me secure it using the included locking clip. The system looks good and is easy to use. I really like everything about it and it is safe. As for consumer reports, this product was not included in the recent invalid tests. Great Buy at a nice price!

Better systems out there January 21, 2007 Reviewer:  New Mom 06 (St. Louis MO)  See all my reviews >

I like the colors of this travel system. However, after just 4 months of use the seat belt on the car seat has broken and the "hubcap" of one of the stroller wheels has fallen off. We have purchased the Graco snugride in the meantime and love it. The seatbelt is much easier to adjust, it's more accommodating for our taller baby and the handle is more comfortable. Since it's been >90 days, we couldn't return it to target so now we have the fun of trying to get a refund from Evenflo. Save your money, just get a Graco travel system.

It's okay. January 16, 2007 Reviewer:  Alexa's Mom (Downtown San Diego)  See all my reviews >

I have this system, just a different fabric. I love this look and design of this system. The carseat is great, but one of the symbols fell off the carseat right away. The wheel also falls off the stroller and I had to take the brake off so the wheel wouldn't continually fall off. We also had to use zip ties to secure the hood section on the carseat because the round black pieces always fell off from day one. Although we had many little issues with the cosmetics, I do like the system.

Very wise investment! January 13, 2007 Reviewer:  Mama Manda (South Jersey)  See all my reviews >

I have been using this travel system for almost ten months. I think it's awesome. The stroller is heavier than you would think at first, but the extra weight more than makes up for the sturdiness and quality. There is SO much room in the basket underneath, and two cup holders in the parent tray is really helpful when both me and my husband have a drink, or mine and a bottle or sippy cup. The closed compartment for a wallet and keys is great, too. I don't want my keys and wallet out in the open. The swivel wheels in the front are a Major plus! And this thing has some seriously good suspension parts! I've taken it on dirt roads, through thick grass, oh, and roads, too! :)
The ONLY downers I've found is that the seat doesn't sit up all the way for my almost ten month old. I've had a thick blanket stuffed behind the seat cushion for about four months. I kind of miss the blanket. And that the wheels are a bit wider in the front than I can judge sometimes, I get hung up on so many things! That is quite possibly my own fault though. So don't count it against the stroller! I had to give it 5 stars, though. It didn't seem enough to take away a whole star.
Otherwise, this one's a seriously great investment. I got mine on clearance because it was the display. It was a little scuffed, but it's gonna get destroyed anyway! Only thing is... I can't destroy it! And the dark colors make it pretty hard to make this thing look dirty - Ever. But now that I've used it, and know what it's capable of, I would gladly pay full price for it.
My son outgrew the carseat months ago, though. He's a little bruiser. :) But that's great, too. And the option for more than one base is a major help. I picked up an extra while I was there.

read more of the reports January 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Mama "Angie L." (Moreno Valley, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I received this travel system as a gift and was very upset to find out that it had failed certain tests. I decided to read the consumer reports for myself, and it states clearly that it only failed when using the LATCH system, and passed when using seat belts correctly. I have new faith in my registry choice and am anxious to use it, without using the LATCH system. Anyone out there who simply goes by what some of the nay-sayers writing reviews on here should do a little of their own research before deciding not to purchase this product.
