The picture shows 8 ribs but the one I received only has 6 ribs. Lights worked on all settings and also came with power cord. Nice material for umbrella.

I purchased this umbrella, 1 year ago. I took it out to use it and after days in the sun,to charge the bateries, the lights would not go on. I have tried and tried to find replacement batteries for this,and have been unsuccessful. If anyone has this and had to replace the batteries, please post where you bought them. When the lights do work, it is a great looking umbrella.

The Tropilight lighted patio umbrella is incredible...just enough light to read a menu and wine list and see your food, but dim enough to put out a most romantic light!
We use them in our restaurant courtyard dining area and our guests just love them
Only concern...some of the power cords have failed and we can't seem to locate a source for them. If anyone knows of a source, we'll love to discover it.

Judging by previous reviews, this product may have changed. My umbrella was delivered very quickly. It is not canvas though. More like a normal umbrella material, allows a fair bit of sunshine through.
The lights are not white either. They are orange. Included is a cable and adaptor which plugs into the umbrella's pole. It's a shame they are not battery powered or solar powered!
The winding mechanism is rather ugly too.
It does have 6 panels though and this picture makes that clear.
The product description could be more detailed.
The colour of the pole is a medium shade of brown, which would have been nice to know to be able to get a coordinating stand. I could not see any brass fittings either.
Overall the value is good.

I threw out the box and papers a while ago. I need the voltage for the lights so I can replace the cord. If anyone has this, please let me know.

The first umbrella I received was the wrong one (no lights),but all I did was go to returns and ups came to my home and pick it up. They sent my new umbrella out and all this happened in one week! They were great!
When I received my umbrella I was very pleased. It's really easy to set up and use. It has a really easy crank which makes using it a breeze. I looked all over for an umbrella with lights and found them to all be priced around $200 but Target had the exact same one for half the price. I would recommend this to anyone!

We like the novelty lights but wish this umbrella had heavier material as it does not block enough sunlight (the main reason we wanted one) Not bad for the price but I'd be willing to pay more for heavier material.

I bought this umbrella to replace one that broke. The lights add a whole new dimension to having an umbrella! I live in the mountains and it is beautiful to sit out at night with the umbrella lights on. Seems to be sturdy, is nice looking, and is very functional as well.
