This humidifier is pretty good. It is very light & easy for me to carry and refill the water. My two years old daughter loves it because it looks cute and has smoke come out. Compare to the frogy one I got back then, this is good buy.

Like other reviewers, I initially loved this humidifier - and my toddler loved it too!

At first it worked really well. With the tank filled, I could run it all night for several nights in a row before running out of water. And it produced enough mist, but not so much that everything on her dresser ended up wet. The control knob is great because it really lets you control how much or how little mist, rather than just giving you 4-5 settings.

However, my daughter loved it so much that she wanted it on every night, even when she didn't need it. After about four months of having it on every night, it started making a loud noise and stopped producing mist. Granted, it probably wasn't intended to be used for 120 nights straight, but even so, I don't think it would have lasted longer than a year. I wish I'd listened to all the other reviewers who had this same problem.

I bought this for my daughter's room and at first I was so delighted with it because it is so cute and trendy. But not so much when it died after two uses. It just completely stopped working for no visible reason. Very frustrating! So we paid about $10.00 per use... that seems a bit steep to me.

Other than being the most adorable product ever it runs SO quiet. I bought it for college being a huge fan of Hello Kitty and it is so nice to have a little light so I don't trip over my books. The steam comes out of her ears and the purple night light is so nice! Super adorable, super quiet and I got it on clearance!! [...]

I love the look of this humidifier and the mist is great. But after 2 months of usage the night light has gone out...boo. Good thing Target has a 90 day return policy!

I bought this about three months ago, and it's a joy. It runs quietly and the night light is nice. The dial that allows for mist control is perfect. The instructions say that a full tank will last you 11 hours, but I think that's if you use the highest setting, which I have not found necessary. Be sure to buy a filter ($8 I think) as one is not included. They were right next to the humidifier, with a picture of the humidifier it works with. Very helpful.

I have two small concerns: The little green light that signals that it's on is REALLY bright. It's bright enough to illuminate the whole room! So I covered it with a piece of duct tape, and it still shone through. I had to sit a stuffed animal in front of it. The other thing is when you need to refill it or do anything that requires moving it (or any of the peices)- Have a towel handy; the face part has water droplets all inside it, the pink tank part when lifted will drip from sitting in the bottom well, and the bottom well, well, it's full of water. Take it apart next to a sink. Neither of these problems would inhibit me from recommending this humidifier or buying another one.

I have had an awful time with humidifiers. The one I love I cannot find anymore. I have bought Vicks, Holmes, etc. all the brand names you are suppose to trust. They all said silent operation, but none were. Some were so noisy, I could hear it down the hall. I did not want to buy the Hello kitty one because of all the bad reviews I read, but I broke down knowing that I could return it if there were more problems. Boy was I surprised! It is adorable, the purple night lite is so cute. It holds a good amount of water and most importantly, it is silent!! I did have one problem when I plugged it in, it did not seem to be making steam. I read the manuel and it said to make suer the air flow on the bottom was not blocked. All of my other humidifiers had the air flow on the back, so I sat them on a towel. Once I pulled away the towel it was sitting on, the steam came pouring out! So far so good...my fingers are crossed!

We use this in our baby's room every night. It's easy to clean, doesn't leak & the steam coming out of Hello Kitty's ears is so cute! Plus the night lite is just enough so I can check on baby.

Although this humidifier had some bad reviews, I knew I could return it if I had any problems. I haven't! So far, we've been using it for a week straight- I have two little girls fighting off a cold w/ congestion. It has helped immensely and I love it. I had a more expensive Holmes brand humidifier several years ago and that was noisier, and didn't put out the mist nearly as fast as this little one. I haven't had any problems with it stopping or leaking or anything like some of the other complaints. I'm very happy with this purchase! Give it a shot!

We have had NO problems with this humidifier. The motor is still going strong after 6 months of almost 24/7 use. I use it in the baby's room but also in the living room. We have 15 foot ceilings and it does a great job of combating the dry heat in the house. We bought the Penguin for our bedroom and have had no problems with it either. I am buying this for my cousin that is having her first baby.
