I purchased this for my daughter and loved it initially. It was quiet and you could see the cool mist streaming out from the top. My daughter had a restfull night but in the morning, there was water around the base of it. I thought it was the humidity accumulating. I dried it off and tried it again the following night, again the following morning the base was in a puddle of water. I am returning it because of a safety issue.

I was like another reviewer - I ignored the negative reviews of this humidifier because I thought it was too cute to pass up. I figured "it happened to them but it must be a fluke... not me!!" Well I was wrong, and there is obviously a design problem. After a few uses it stopped producing steam, and despite doing all the troubleshooting steps in the instruction manual, it is still broken. The worst part is I used it three times in 4 months before it broke, and I am now outside Target's 90 day return policy so I am dealing with the manufacturer, who wants me to pay to ship it to their warehouse for inspection/repair. Annoying!! I strongly urge you to resist the cuteness factor, because it's not so cute when you have two sick kids and no working humidifier.

While this humidifier is definately for small rooms, it certainly works well. It is quiet, reliable, and very cute. Cleaning is a breeze, if you understand how outdoor pools work. Basically, add 1-2 drops of Clorox brand chlorine bleach 6% with each refill of 1 gallon. You'll never have to clean this except when you are done using it for the season. That's about 10ppm free chlorine, which is what you'll need to break the combined chlorines usually present in your tap water and avoid any adverse smell from the regular tap water. If you add 3-5 drops, you won't notice (and you probably should if you live in Florida). I have purchased this one, along with a bunch of others, such as the panda, cat, and spongebob. I have been disappointed with those other once and have taken them all back. I still have this one. I wish they made this exact one, but with a boy's theme. I have had this about 4 months now and love it. If you set it too high for the humidity, it will leave water all around it. You can tell if it is too high because the mist will fall around it instead of just shoot in the air. This information is in the manual.

I purchased this humidifier when my daughter was a month old and came down with RSV and the Dr. recommended me to get one. The first night it worked great, but then afterwards everytime we turn it on it's makes a terrible noise for a few minutes but then it eventually stops. We've had it for about 3 months now and it is still working. It's a very cute accesory for her nursery and I love the night light.

I was in love with this humidifier and ignored the reviews, it worked so well the first couple of weeks but then just like the others it's stopped working! The light wont even come on anymore wich is not fun when your baby or you really need it... don't bother with this one just get one that works all the time.

I bought this humidifier 11 months ago, and it just stopped working. The fan is working but no mist comes out. It was so cute, I want another one, but really, it is not responsibe to buy something you know only has a year or less of life. I'll look for one with better reviews. Maybe save it for a night light!

I bought this for my toddler. She loves the way it looks and the night light was a soft pink glow that she loved BUT it stopped working on the second night of using it. Since she loved it so much I went and exchanged it for another one....that night, when I went to turn it on...it didn't even work!! So dont waste your time and money!

Yeah it's cute alright, but trust me dont even waste your time or money. It worked 1 day and stopped after the tank was still half full. We filled it up and never worked again. Yes, we even used distilled water. What a rip-off!

I bought this for my three year old daughter because she is currently in her "Hello Kitty" phase and she loves it! It is very quiet and has a cute purpleish night light on it.

You will get your monies worth also. I am VERY satisfied with mine so far I have had it for about 2 months now

I got this humidifier about a year ago, it's great because its so cute and made a lot of mist, was quiet. but after a while it started making a loud noise, which would stop after a bit of waiting or if we banged it to get it back on track. i think it was the fan that was making the sound? anyway... we dealt with that for a while, but then the fan quit working completely. I wish i could get the same one for its cuteness, but i don't really want to deal with it breaking again.
