I bought these about a year ago for a great price. I loved them! However, after a few short months, they were showing a lot of scratches. Today, I got them out of the cabinets to throw the entire set away. There dinner plates are covered in gray scratches all over the white, as are the bowls. The salad plates, which are black, still show a ton of scratches. I guess if you don't mind throwing your money away then buy them, otherwise don't use any utensils on them.

I received 2 sets of these for Christmas and couldn't be happier with them. I've never had any problems with chipping, color discoloration, or any defects in general. These dishes are never handwashed- I always put them in the dishwasher, and they look great! I LOVE THEM! Everyone that eats over at our house compliments us on how nice and unique they are :) I just wish I would have gotten the serveware platters and bowls when they were still available.....

I had been searching for quite a while for a Beautiful Damask set to match, exsisting kitchenware.
This dish set for the price, is Perfect!
I love the elegant and classy look of them and the mugs are larger than most (not tea cup size) as I thought.
I have not experienced scrathing as other reviews have stated. We have used them several times and put them through the dish washer. I love them and would buy and additional set if needed.

I was replacing a much older stoneware set with this Damask one, and I was a little concerned about durability. I have loved this set! I've had a few "rough" moments and these dishes have not even so much as scratched! The sizes are perfect and the set has all the right pieces.

Overall I love the design of this set and they held up pretty well for about a year. But now the white plates look really bad covered in knife scratches. The black plates held up better, so I just replaced the white dinner plates with a better quality white plate and kept the side plates and mugs.....however the mugs are now starting to crackle on the inside....again it is the white portion of the mug that looks weathered and poor.

I have had this dinnerware set for a little over a year now and I love them. I have had no problems with scratches and we use them as everyday dishes. My 2 year old even uses them with still no scratches. I have gotten many compliments on these by everyone we have over for dinner. I am actually tring to find another set so I can have a complete collection. Any ideas as to where else these are sold?

I bought this set & it was the last one. I have been on the waiting list forever...target, take me off the list! One of my dishes already has a major crack in it & i haven't even had them 6 months! Very cheaply made! I ordered different damask plates elsewhere!

I bought this set a couple months ago when I did over my kitchen and I love it!! They look AMAZING with my other damask decor, I get compliments about them ALL the time. They are very durable, I use these as my every day set I have two boys a one year old and a four year old and I have never seen a scratch.

How much I love this collection of plates, bowls and coffee cups! These are so elegant and sharp looking. I have designed and decorated my whole house around these plates because I fell so in love with them the minute I saw them! I have 2 sets and am looking for a 3rd set! Target please bring these back!!! I would suggest to anyone, to get these!

As many other reviewers, I was instantly attracted to this dinnerware set since I love damask. I registered for these for my wedding and when I received them in the mail, to my disappointment a plate was broken. Fortunately Target carries these in-store so I was able to exchange them for an intact set.

I have not experienced any scratches like other reviews, and I'm also using stainless steel silverware. Although I would only recommend using this as "fine china" rather than everyday use which could increase the chances of it scratching. Otherwise, I'm really satisfied with this gift and I've already received so many compliments on how lovely it is!

I'm still giving it 5 stars even with the broken plate because I want to review the product not the condition it was delivered in. Honestly, these things get broken/scratched through mailorder and I half expect it :).
