I love the damask pattern, so I guess I am immediately biased to loving these. When I saw them at Target for a really good price, I couldn't resist and knew I had to get them. They are really beautiful. Classic, yet modern. Good quality and great sizes. Have had them for over a month, use them daily, and no scratches or chips yet!

I got two sets of this dinnweware as gifts. I have not experienced a problem with "scratches" on the dinnerware as expressed in other reviews. Perhaps the plates are not as "heavy" as I thought they would be but I think they have held up lovely as I still have all the pieces (knock on wood). The bowls are a bit shallow and they have a lip on them so if you are someone who drinks milk from the bowl after your cereal - you're out of luck. I bought red cereal/soup bowls which of course look darling against the black and white. I also love the mugs - sturdy & the perfect size. I plan on buying red chargers to use with this set. I love my dishes and think it's a great value!

This dinnerware looks cheep. I had read other reviews and thought it would be great. I am keeping them because the pattern matches my decor, but only untill I find something to replace them. These are VERY over priced for what you will be getting.

Great buy for the money. I absolutely love these dishes. I found them at a Target store and I'm going back to buy another set so I'll have service for 8. The mugs are large and that's cool too!

I absolutely adore these dishes. I received two sets for Christmas last year and I think they are beautiful. I have had zero problems with scrathing and spotty paint like others have mentioned. The bowls are a bit shallow, but that is something I find visually great about them; they are different! I have purchased additonal bowls if I am interested in using something a bit deeper. I would highly recommend them. I think you would be happy; I am.

I was so excited to get these for Christmas as I LOVE the pattern. When I took them out of the box, there are alot of white spots in the black paint so they don't look very good. Then I used one of the big dishes and the white part got all scratched just from my fork. They went back today. I am so disappointed because I loved them but they are just not good quality.

I purchased this set of dishes several months ago because I thought they were absolutely beautiful. Today, I still think they are beautiful. I've had no problem with these dishes and am considering buying another set. The only problem with this set of dishes lies within the desgin, not the quality. The bowls are not chicken soup friendly. Other than that, they are beautiful as well as functional.

I got these plates well over a year ago when they first came out because I loved the design. They've held up really, really well. No scratching, chipping, fading, anyting. And I use them daily, run them in the dishwasher weekly, etc. For the price you cannot beat them!

My Mom bought these for me as a housewarming gift for my first home. I was so excited because I have been in love with this set for ages. The first night I used them the silverware made scratches all over the dishes - they looked awful. I am returning them asap.
